Robins:

I'm only talking about it to clarify the point, Since some un-named individuals on this forum have been arguing about facts. BTW 5th century BC was BEFORE 3rd century BC. NO MORE SQUABBLES ABOUT THAT.

Are you coming to say that they are not being discriminated??

Stpterro or whatever,

The Tamil problem is national one or whatever, but the personal one too.

I have entered in the university with 260 cutoff marks whereas my Sinhala colleague who sat for the same examination on the same year enetered with 200 marks...........is not that a personal one??

I needed to register myself in police in colombo just for being a Tamil, whereas the others are just loafing like kai veesammah kai veesu....isnt that a personal one??

as you may see on the previous page, I did say that it is irrelevant. We're all Sri Lankans, other than those LTTE supporters. They're a different species altogether.

Has anybody wondered why the SLAF only bombs LTTE training camps?

Why don't they bomb the LTTE bases?

Anyway, how can they tell from miles high in the sky?

Sinhalas, you are more likely to win the war by bombing LTTE bases than by bombing training camps. modas!!

Stopterrorism,
140,000 sinhalese youth have spilled their blood for the island as well...

What a waste of humans. This is what we call Sinhala Buddhist stupidity.

Our leader asked only District Councils in 1965 in the Sc Pact. Why couldn't the extremists agree to this ? Why did they start anti-Tamil riots to sabotage it? The consequence is that 75,000 Tamils also were killed and 750,000 Tamils forced out of the country.

What a cruel waste because of Sinhala-Buddhism!

OMG, you are seriously clueless. You do realise that Air reconnaissance is carried out before an attack? that is how they know what is being bombed. Maybe you were told by the LTTE that the 'pilots eat a lot of carrots' to see so well.

Priyanthy

please understand I am not against any tamil, I was never against any tamil period

I am against LTTE and vicious violence they have unleashed on all of us.

No one, not a single tamil wants to go to north anymore

people tired of LTTEs promises

how can you ask a country to separate itself based on a population of 5% tamils distributed thinly in the north and east ?

I agree on a solution: not an ethnic one, but a provincial one..as it is very clear that development must be regional as the central government has failed in its missions.

1. 3 provinces based on 1921 kandyan convention plan
2. president elected based on provincial votes (not total votes) giving say to pronvices,

each province will have an elected governer, and MPs and will function as under the wesminister system...
3. all important defense, national security to central gov
also central gov will have a cabinet that is made up of secretaries (could be MP but they have to resign in order to become Secretaries)
4. the right to collect tax and spend for provincial gov.

This plan will exceed what is asked by LTTE suggested ISGA and will devolve power based on regional groups.

if you live in sri lanka and have not studied many political structures around the world this will not make sense but if you look in to this...(US system, russian system) it would make sense

think about it.

Although I am not a UNPer this proposal was suggested by Lakshman kiriella back in 2002 after a detailed study of devolution proposals. I have to thank him for bringing such a grand idea if implemented would give plenty of power to all groups.

more ever no one would be fighting to become the head of nation...

ok enough of this .. I am just wasting my energy!

CMBLION,

Mmmmm... OK.

You have been bombing Vanni almost daily for the past year and a half and yet the LTTE is still alive and well.

I bet the Vanni is full of crators. Where the heck are the LTTE hiding?

Can't your spy planes detect them? What a shame, eh?
