'operation karuna amman' in its last chapter.....
Karuna was a real pain for LTTE.
Tried everything.
Now look like succeeded.
KAruna can still has big role once every thing is over and all the clouds are cleared.
If Karuna is a Real Leader, when people think that is now Fallen, He should come back stronger than ever. Karuna need to decide how it should be done.

A solution that is just and fair by all Sri Lankns is what I would like to see. I am sure no one has such a solution on hand. It has to come about through negotiations. |

you want the ltte to put the arms down, we want the govt to set up atleast a con
federal system. if the govt introduce a con federal setup , surly ,it will address
not only the Tamil grievances but also all the minorities too.
This is your own imagination. Fact is, for the past several months, the IC is trying
very hard to get both the GOSL and LTTE to resume peace talks. While GOSL has showed
a willingness to do so, LTTE has been playing truant, coming up with all sorts of
lame excuses and conditions. Laying down arms and the type of solution is way, way
off at the moment.
are you trying to say the peace talks should go on while there is a full scale war? if ltte comes to the
talks while there is a full scale war, what are they going to talk? about the CFA or to
negotiate a new CFA?

We have no problem with a unitary constitution. We will certainly have a problem
with the unit of devolution if it is provincial and if the North and East are merged.
could you please tell me how many Muslim constituencies are there in the east?
1)the govt to should withdraw their forces to the army camps barracks.
2)invite the UN forces and let them do the job in the govt controlled Tamil areas.
3)start the peace talks
4)the international community will make sure the ltte do not declare UDI meanwhile.
5)compromise to set up con-federal
1. Non-starter. Forces can go to the camps only after a solution is agreed, not before.
2. Wishful thinking to deploy UN in govt. controlled areas and not in LTTE controlled
areas. In any case, GOSL unlikely to agree even if UN were to deploy in LTTE controlled
areas.
3. This must be the first step
4. No one can prevent declaration of a UDI. Didn't EPRLF declare one back in 1990s? So, GOSL is used to UDI and I doubt this is any worry for GOSL
5. Have no idea how GOSL would look at this.
1)by having the non tamil speaking forces in Tamil speaking places doing nothing apart from for the practice of
occupying while the territorial integrity and sovereignty is already damaged.
2)there is no killing of innocent civilians in ltte held areas unlike in the govt controlled areas, either they
should limit them self to the barracks or should accept the UN forces.
3)talk about what, without changing the ground situation? what happened to the promise in Geneva1?
