Bittertruth is like chicken soup, but for the soul. One of the very few decent Sinhalese out here. They dont allow their ethnicity to cloud their perceptions of right and wrong. You can count all the decent Sinhalas on this forum in one hand. The rest are all disciples of the Sinhala racist trilogy (MMP) - MuchiLinda (the godfather), Magha the mistress, and their illegit son Pera.

Have I ever said that though the murder of 13 soldiers was used by Sinhala extremists to orchestrate the 1983 blood bath. If the murder was used as a law and order crime and the process of law followed and the culprits brought to book, we won't be where we are today.
May be the LTTE expected and really wanted the 1983 blood bath and they must have been quite thrilled at the way things worked out. But Since 1983, the Sinhalese have learnt their lesson and numerous subsequent provocations by the LTTE went without any reaction from the Sinhalese.

isn't it happening again under the present Govt.
1) so Many killings of innocent people or political persons, MR orders independent inquiry and that is end of it..There is no reports nothing further.
2) Kidnapping Businessmen (initially Tamils unfortunately Muslims are targeted now) There is no arrest but just support for these white Vans?
3) Deals made by the Gosl with LTTE, Managala brought it to the open..(well we all shout at Mangala being a traitor but that is not the issue) did anyone investigated it?
4) Media reporting--what happens..the journalist is warned by the Gosl and taken to CID head quarters and questioned..where is the Media Freedom in a democracy?
