Berty Anna, I might be wrong but I have not heard about Tamil students getting wrong treatments in the University.
Malli, the topic was not Tamil students in Uni but Pera who is a lecturer in Peradeniya university and your not wrong about the students and i am not saying Tamil students are treated wrongly at all..i was just giving my opinion on when you have lectures like PEAR who are simply Racist..Tamils students do not have to do anything wrong to be punished or arrested..did you hear once Ruwani spoke about how their neighbors in Dehiwela were Tamils and one day they was a big party and very noisy so she called the police and told them there is an LTTE gathering..now that is a Racist!
I can not do much about the thinking pattern of people or their political views. Everyone has their own way of looking at things and their way of believing things. I think that is applicable for all of us, we have to ensure those things does not go in to the work that we do specially when that involves future of the country.
Exactly we can't stop the way others think but if your a respectable lecturer who is someone students look up and respect, we do not expect them to behave the same way we do malli..I hope you get what i mean.. |

I saw the first post as White thrash now i see a white tiger..
Isn't it funny.. a few months ago when UK branded LTTE as a terrorist group and that Gas station issue lolz..where they were collecting money for LTTE etc..then the same White thrash and White Tigers were White angels, White Gods..

The main opposition UNP yesterday charged 'the Rajapaksa brothers' now control more than 75 percent of the country's annual budget after the appointment of Chamal Rajapaksa as the Ports and Aviation Minister.
Party frontliner Lakshman Kiriella told journalists that earlier they had the control of over 65 percent of the budget because the highest number of projects and institutions had directly come under the purview of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Mr. Kiriella said this percentage increased up to 75 with the appointment of President's elder brother Chamal Rajapaksa as the Ports and Aviation Minister.
'There is Rajapaksa poshanaya today when the people are suffering due to the high cost of living,' he said.
The Opposition warned the cost of living was poised to rise further given the economic mismanagement of the government.
Former Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake who told a news conference the world milk powder production had declined by 38 percent, and asked what action the government was taking to avoid a price hike in the local market.
Mr. Karunanayake said while the country's economy was at a low ebb, the government had acquired a second aircraft for 'Mihin Lanka' at a monthly rent of Rs.110 million.
