In this climate of fear, TamilNet understands the reasons for the letter from Bishop who would be under tremendous pressure not to criticize the military.
suffice to say LTTE reached a fascinating new low today. essentially admitting fabrication, but also 'standing by the story', truly remarkable! |

ltte did admit that 6 of their cadres died in fighting at vavuniya fdl in yesterdays news ,that is the price ltte has to pay to defend the fdl stretching fro mannar /madu to vavuniya
after 2 months of trying sla has not made any headway on this front
ltte should attack colombo harbour /that will close sinmod
land for good |

'Immediate release of the abducted students is the only way to bring Jaffna peninsula educational activities back to normalcy,' Jaffna Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas Savundaranayagam said in a special meeting held Wednesday around 3:30 p.m between representatives of Peoples Committee for Peace and Goodwill (PCPG) and Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Jaffna Commander Maj. Gen. G. A. Chandrasiri inside the Palaali High Security Zone. The meeting lasted more than two hours.
TamilNet story was based on verified information from two sources close to the Bishop, and TamilNet stands by its story.
First item mention no 'source' -- meaning TamilNet own reporter.
Second item mentions a 'source close to the Bishop'.
Here in lies the fabrication. If there was a source, name it! or its only a fabrication. |

Tamilnet has no clue as to who and what told. Title says Jaffna commander (after modifications), contents say Jaffna bishop. Great manipulation.
Then they went on talking Bishop's security, which is tally irrelevant for them and completely off topic.
