Is this Strengthening a victorious Army, or simply replenishing depleted ranks?
If the Tigers have been vanquished in the East and the Army is victorious why are new recruits needed? To fight whom? |

How much more you need to get rid of LTTE? What is LTTE numbers - less than 2000?
In addition to the 8,000 new recruits, some 5,000 personnel, who had gone on retirement after completing 12 years in the force and those who deserted their posts rejoined the Army within the same period. Meanwhile, the elite Police force ? the Special Task Force has also launched a fresh drive to recruit some 530 police constables.
so in this period oyu have got more than 13,000....what is the total strength? |

The last time there was a recrutement Mahinder said his son is joining the Navy.
Now the same son is in UK having a wonderful time, while the other Morons whodid the same by sending their sons to join the navy are dieing or gone MIA.
This time who is gonna send their son to join the STF?
What about Goatabaya's son? |

1 LTTE soldier is = to 10 SLA soldier.
To be at par with LTTE SLA needs 20,000 highly skilled and dedicated men
To beat the LTTE the SLDF need 200,000 men fully trained , armed and motivated.
Without it forget the whole thing.

When the BAN on the LTTE is lifted, the war will come to a very quick end.
LTTE is not even asking for foreign aid . Just let the LTTE fight with a level battle field.
Now the LTTE is fighting with one hand tied behind their backs and in the dark without night vission equipment.
Even with such handicap the SLDF cannot do much.
When it comes to a fair fight ............SLDF will run . |

13,000 fully armed soldiers with more on the way is unable to beat the 2000 odd LTTE without the benifits of the SLDF soldiers?
WHY ?
It is not equipment and big talk that wins wars.
Like in Vietnam , Afganistan and in Iraq. The US and its allies had all the advantages in every waypossible and yet they lost.
What chance dose SLDF have? |
