The Navy personnel had suspected the air craft to be of LTTE and fired at it with 5-Zero bullets for around 10 minutes. But however the air craft which suffered no damages has returned to the air force camp safely.
Is this for real?
Shooting for 10 mints and no hits?
WoW . Who needs bullet proof planes when SLN have sharpshooters like these?
Maybe the 50 caliber bullets
could not penetrate the SLAF MIG29's Armour? It must be covered in battleship armour............
Maybe the SLN uses SLAF planes for target practice ( SLAF has too many planes it dose not know how to get rid of them) |

It is being reported that the navy camp in Trincomalee has fired at an Air force beach craft this morning.
If they could not hit it during the morning light, firing for 10 mins, what can be expected in the night...

By the way things are going the SLRs will not be on the excgange market very soon.

LTTE supporters should not be surprised at these developments .. what you see is the 'militarising' of the South. Percentage-wise LTTE 'conscription' bears no comparison to recruitment in the South .. it is very much higher. Why indeed are they surprised ? It is to be expected .. this is a mirror-like effect to their own actions.
If recruitment in the South ever comes up to a similar level as in the North .. it will not take many months to 'finish off' the LTTE. |

The Important word in your post is 'IF'
If we use the word 'IF' on statements like
1) 'IF'we had got rid of VP there won't be LTTE
2) 'IF' only the radar was working we could have shot those LTTE planes
3) 'IF' we did not have this War we would have been better than singapore
Lastly
4) 'IF' there was no WAR between the LTTE and the forces there won't be anything to discuss or share in this forum..
I once remember in college one of our masters was commenting on a Batsman who swings at every ball (sometimes he gets run, sometimes he gets out), he said..hey this guy can hit 'IF' he hits..lolz
