How long we going to blame outside nations for our own Comical and dumb acts!! When others co-operate with our miserable acts we say we are in shoulder-to-shoulder when one questions our treatment of fellow human beings we say they bullying us.!
We keep talking about the past saying how rich our country was (Before invading by the outside word)!! And our selfish politicians and Communal minded religest leaders and Gammy Battaas (sorry the bunch of Gammy fellows who think they the only educated Srilankans and who preach Marxism and practice Communalism and Associates with capitalist).
Take the blame at least now!! we are Srilankans and we want aid and please give us money. Ok we also want to have holidays on poya days so reduce our aid package accordingly also please don?t blame us for killing the fellow Sri Lankans. We do it in the name of our countrie?s Sovereignty! If you foreign nations have any problem with our practice of human rights please mention it when our boys are doing well in cricket so that we read only sports news and don?t read our own sins!!.
Re: Claim compensation.. apology! Gentleman? if not for the invaders there is a good chance we all would have been still living up the trees. You may be drawing women in bikini pictures/stuff off the walls of Segirya to please King Rajapakse.!! And I may be trying to please King Solomon Banda by turning up in Shorts!!.
Get to reality we have a problem in our country because of our ignorance. Come out of your Small mind! |

This is a good statement but implementing this is difficult unless we stop mass scale corruptions and state expenses. We must not forget we still burrow nearly $ 2.0 billion annually from IMF, World bank, ADB and other money lending instututions.
However, governement can think of a new source of income specially by reducing present charge of Rs. 200,000/= per principle applicant (and 50,000/= each for others)for issueing duel visa to srilankans who are citizens of other countries like canada, Australia, EU etc. It is estimated 450,000 such citizens will apply for dual visa if the charge is reduced to reasonable amont. See how India encourage its citizens to keep Indian citizenship when they become citizens of other countries. Edited By - saliya - 16 May 2007 23:49:37 GMT |

Hey Fata.s
We were not living in trees when we were having high civilisations for nearly 3000 years it is them who were barbarians. Don't show your stupidity in this forum. It is this recently converted ignoramuses who are waiting we worship the foreign donors. time has ended. If we depend on any nation it will bedefinitely not the West. we can see now where the Mahinda's interst lie. He is visiting Jirdan very soon. He visited Iran recently. Earlier they came with the sword and the Bible. Now they come with few dollars and the Bible.

The mutt....doesn;t he realize we dont have money?? this attitude, in my opinion, sends out the wrong message to the IC. he should be addressing the issues they raise by answering their questions with proof. not play 'i am bigger than you and dont care what you say'.
I suppose he doesn't think money is a problem. after all he hires a plane and flies to the windies to watch cricket with his whole bloody cabinet. i mean its funded by the tax payers so we have to have money.... right? |

MR at least in words.
GOSL if curtail massive expenses and misuse no need we look for foreign money.
Stopping women going abroad is a very collective decision but GOSL should make them to work in Sri Lanka.
Very soon EU and Japan will pen there position.
But do these nations really look upon human rights in other regions ? It's simply pressure to GOSL from NGO/NPO's and politicians fed by Tamil Diaspora. |

This is the first time we had a leader who value our self respect rather than wiating for the crumbs and bones thrown by thier former colonial masters. earlier what we had was converted slavish dogs trained by the masters who will lick the masters boot. Only one remaining inthis line is that haemophradite shameless born looser Ra Nila. We have never made our grade by goingafter these colonial villains. they won't to keep us in the same slave level.
Singapore, Malaysia now India realised these facts, because they had leaders come from real country's cultural broth. Edited By - Bheesan - 17 May 2007 00:20:46 GMT |

Sri Lanka's majority Sinhala community is angered by a debate in the British parliament on May 2, in which some Labour MPs asked for the removal of the British ban on the LTTE. The newly formed All Party Tamil Group in the British parliament led by Keith Vaz had proposed to invite the LTTE's political wing leader SP Tamilselvan to address parliament.
Why are the Sinhalese so upset about the British wanting to lift the ban on LTTE? |
