In the same context, Sinhala Buddhist priests advised Archbishop of Canterbury Rovan Williams that priests must not take part in politics. Buddhist monks went on pada-jatrhra (foot-march) to sabotage the BC Pact by rousing anti-Tamil communal riots.
The right word is HYPOCRACY. |

According to the parliamentary question and answer in parliament in 2002 SL army is comprised of 99.9% Sinhalese.

Be informed ! LTTE does have both Muslims and Sinhalas in their ranks!
But Sinhala army have only less than 20-50 Tamils in their ranks, i can assure you that. If you don't agree, please bring me the 'official' numbers. |

What ever the truth of this report is , if the LTTE is using tamil fisherman as a cover the SL navy dont have a option dont they?
All the tamils out side SL are chearing, Sinhalese out side SL are angry but what no one understand is we all are loosing! Loosing to the rest of the world |

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a senior Buddhist monk
The gunman is from the military intelligence. Likewise a young journalist Sampath de Silva was shot dead by an army soldier. This soldier and an military intelligence officer were arrested following this murder but the DIG in charge of the investigation ordered their immediate release.
