Hello guys, I am an Indian Tamil Living in UK. Looking at what you say, Seems you guys want to wipe out each other. Anyway, fact 1, no one in India or even Tamil nadu cares about Tamils in Srilanka except for a few political parties. This issue usually gets published in the 3rd or 4th pages in the paper. Tamil Nadu is becoming an international business hub and no one likes it to become the head quarters of LTTE or any organisation. Fact 2, Indian government does not care about Srilankan government as well. They help the lankan government just because they want to be seen as a regional super power. Lankan efforts to induce india to fight with LTTE has also not worked so far. The guys in the top would want solid evidence to believe the claims of both the sides.
The IPKF failed because they changed their mission from protecting LTTE and Tamils to destroying LTTE. The LTTE cherish that as a victory against Indian Military. They r so good at stabbing at the back. So be it, But I would be happy to see LTTE to attack any Indian Installation anywhere at this point and face the reaction. I would like to see an Indian force sent to the north purely for the annihilation of LTTE not a peace and war force like IPKF- With the lessons learnt from the past, the number of spy satellites they've launched, they must sure have a plan to level northern sri lanka. .
But the most sure thing to happen is simply this. India will remain silent no matter what happens between LTTE and S'Lankan Govt. Unless until one of these sides makes a mistake or makes it absolutely believable that the other side has committed a crime in indian soil. |
