The SLG is always desperately trying to raise the boogy of LTTE's threat to India.

LTTE is and always was the BOGGY MAN for the GoSL and the Sinhalese people the world over.

It is this natrul fear that keeps then in a constant state of fear no matter how old they get.

It seems like the older they get the more fearful they are of the LTTE, POOR souls.

To make them jump just say BOGGY MAN ...........ha ha ha ha

Didn't Bala admit blowing up Rajiv Ghandhi was a 'monumental blunder'?

I do not think so. The truth must be told is there is to be any kind of compramise.

Here is denial of a public statement made by Bala. Sorry I don't have the link. Can any one please provide the link to Bala's much publicised admission?

Based on the published numbers cost of 4 MIG29 = BOC gross profit for this year (Rs 6 billion)

The other day we were talking about Bank of Ceylon and Pera posted an article on their profit going up and showing that the post on NRFC accounts are by UNP.
to a certain extend you agreed to that article but in reality what we are missing is that the Profit has gone up owing to Local business . The problem that can happen is on foreign currency and that is where the NRFC issue comes in..I still feel it is better to have a close eye on NRFC's accounts

Bala only stated that the event was a monumental tragedy, he did not come out and say, it was a monumental tragedy that we committed.

Bala topic was discussed in this thread earlier... if I remember right, Bala said exactly what you mentioned...nothing else.

LTTE knows it is coming

TamilNet, Friday, 11 May 2007, 12:49 GMT

Solid international backing for President Mahinda Rajapakse?s militarist approach to the ethnic question has made all out war inevitable, the Tamil Guardian?s editorial said this week. Operating with a problem definition that blames the LTTE for the island?s conflict, rather than the oppressive Sri Lankan state, international actors are backing Colombo?s war, the paper said. ?Every action by the Sri Lankan government is intended to foreclose the possibility of a peace process and strengthen the war effort. Yet the international response to has been one of total acquiescence. No Sri Lankan government has had it so good in this regard.?

Two Sri Lankan recipients of the 2007 Martin Ennals Award for Human Rights Defenders, Rajan Hoole and Kopalasingham Sritharan said that the LTTE has made it impossible for the Tamils to live in the north and east.

They added that if a larger group of people had actively challenged the LTTE, the Tamil community would not be in such a sorry plight as it found itself today.
