There are so many tamils in canada australia, uk, france, swiss who understand tamil better then english and sinhala, and some only speak tamil and the country lang. There are no staff who can help them in tamil.I heard stories in ottawa how these staff look at tamils
The staff should be able to speak both lang in these countries. |

Hope they will down load cookies frequently to upgrade them selves. First of all MR should make it mandatory that employees in the foreign service know English at least, one international language fluently , one of the official languages of Sri Lanka. It is better to have people speaking all three official languages of Sri Lanka , unfortunately Tamil racism and terrorism screwed up such an approach. Otherwise Tamil speaking minority with a knowledge in all three languages are good candidates for foreign service. At least there should be one employee in most Sri Lankan embassies with a sound knowledge in Tamil to serve the Tamil speaking expatriates. |

| In order to give a better image of Sri lanka you must first change the attitude of officials work in foreign missions. Most of these guys are hentchmen of politicians who don't know basic of administration or protocols. If you want to upgrade our missions in foreign countries you must replace most of the staff with qualified people. |

yes they come from political influence and some are Gov servants,
You have to complian driect to F.M office about these staffs.
No proper tranning to handle the problems. |
