WHAT UK holds aid....?
UK is not donating us, UK is still paying back the wealth which they were taken away from us during the 18s and 19s centuries. They looted our Buddhist and Hindu temples around the country and even around the world, and taken the wealth to UK.
Now they are paying back to us without any interest...
if they withholds the payments and continue it... consequences will be severer.
I think UK treasury may bank crrupt... or something. They might look for counties where they can loot again..!!(Like their seniors did)

With the economy doing well, sri lankans moving around every nook and corner of the country without any fear by any mode of transportation day and night, more and more jobs being created for the youth, human rights being protected, the period 2002 to 2004 was the golden era we all can now only remember and sigh.
With tourism doing badly, airport being closed at night, danger lurking everywhere, killings and dissappearances being the order of the day, media being gaged, war in all fronts, cost of living rising, inflation sky rocketing, IC frezzing aid, now is the time to take some pioson and commit suicide. |

Tamils are probably Homo Erectus, not Homo Sapien.
What was the people who evolved or descended from animal (lion) 2600 years back?
NIRUPAM, Never heard of a S.Paranavitana. Guess he's not credible enough to be read. I only said that Tamils were Homo Erectus according to YOUR S.Paranavitana's theory, which says that Tamils had been in Sri Lanka since 1,750,000 years ago. 1,750,000 years ago there were no Homo Sapiens anywhere on Earth, only Homo Erectus. Homo Sapiens only evolved 200,000 years ago, in Africa, not Tamil Nadu for that matter. So accordingly, Tamils couldn't have been Homo Sapien, they could not even have been Homo Sapien Archaic, they could have only been Homo Erectus if they existed 1,750,000 in Sri Lanka. Which makes them sub-human. Period.
Anyway, where did you get that nonsense about Tamils being in Sri Lanka 1,750,000 years ago? Just another cooked up theory that makes no sense. Like the Eelam myth.
We Sinhalese might have a myth about how we came into being, but it remains a myth within a plausible period - 2,600 years ago, we don't take the myth literally. Tamils existing in Sri Lanka 1,750,000 years ago? Now that's fodder for the mindless Tamil masses. The Mongols believe they came from a blue wolf too. Neither the Sinhalese nor the Mongols take it literally, and they don't cook up origin theories with silly periodic discrepencies, like you.
Somehow I don't think that S.Paranavitana is the culprit, you are probably misquoating him.

If you can base your arguments on a book that contains 'myths' why not talk about that Tamils lived in SL from time immemoriale.
Also you need common sense to understand what really happened. Tamils lived only 18 miles away from the shores of SL. Do you really think they waited until Vijaya + 700 accomplices landed from Orissa/Bengale which is 2500 miles away?
Tamils were sea faring people who made trade with Egyptians and Greek long before Vijaya landed. Even the British who are the modern champion sea farers use the Tamil word 'CATAMARAN' (tied-tree)indicating that Tamils were most ancient sea faring community. They must have at least steered out of control while fishing and landed and settled.
What do you reckon the Adam Bridge was used for? Our grandparents talked about crossing on foot to India when the tide is low. In the course of time the bridge got eroded and the tide risen.
If people read the Island, Asiatribune and Daily News they shut themselves from the facts and truths.

It's been a while since I came to this site again. I think www.infolanka.com is slightly better. Atleast there you won't find misinformed, over-opiniated Tamils blurbing all over the site.
Anyhow Biggie, you'll find a lot of delusional, provoking, ignorant people in here. Just laugh at them and relax. Their purpose is to be comic reliefs. |

You are posting this everywhere. Concentrate on the inhuman activities of this president Rajapakse. Immediately after he became the president the kidnapping , extra judicial killings, disappearances and food embargo took place. It is not a coincident but carefully planned actions.
Are you concerned about torturing these innocent civilians? Nobody misled anybody, the facts colected from the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka are available on the website. British justice will be done in inviting the party to the conflict to air its views.
Politicuians talk so what? MR can investigate these horrors rather than giving impunity to the killers.
