Here what I believe, what may really had happened to the Tamilnet report on Kafir/mig downed.
I think, as TN stated, tigers may have fired the SAM missiles which GOSL denies them of having. But the fact that people saw blast and fire due to anti-missile fired from the Jet hitting the SAM. Thundering sound due to the Jet passing the sound barrier to escape the fire. So more important fact is that Tigers may have some SAM which are active. What do you guys think of this incident? The Mig was hit, either by AAF or SAM.
But, The Mig was probably able to make it into GOSL territory.. and nobody knows what happened after that. Maybe it made an emergency landing in A'pura airbase. But the fact that the SLAF activity over vanni came to a standstill after the incident, suggests the LTTE have some kind of aircraft resistance now. |

Kanthun,
The LTTE have been having air craft resistance from the time those Air Force Avros were shot down one after the other on two consecutive days. Those were suspected to be SAMs. Edited By - kiwikanga - 3 May 2007 05:47:26 GMT |

British and Norwegian Ambassadors are flying to Killinochchi to invite LTTE for talks. Not bad for a change. 3 round trips of the Takarang plane visiting Colombo makes wonders for LTTE.
What will many rounds do??? Ha ha....
