Few minutes ago, there was a debate in British Parliament about SL conflict.British MPs say that ltte terrorists are not allowing alternative tamil political parties to engage
in politics in NE.This is the main reason for recent conflict.LTTE must allow Karuna faction/Ananda sangaree,EPDP to do politics instead of killing them.But Karuna has not still cleared his name about child soldiers.Both Karuna & LTTE came under criticism of these child soldiers. |

Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi had already rejected the national flag on the grounds that it gave undue prominence to the Sinhala lion, which
'correctly symbolizes the present humiliating status of the Tamil-speaking people in Ceylon'.
The party earlier declared that the flag should
'be framed on non-communal principles and designed on the highest ideals of the present age'.

'Sinhala' Flag
I am not a man who chases too much on flags but you have forgotten that in the UK, the union jack only gives prominance to English and Scots, but no mention about Welsh and the irish (Northern that is).
So do the British grumble about it? NO.
Sri, my dear don't be too grumpy over claiming that as 'Sinhala' flag. There are two stripes unlike just a lion so its true a Sri Lankan flag.
I am not a fuss over on these but I thought I should tell you that how I feel when you guys call it just a 'Sinhalese' flag for wrongly.

Is the GoSL and its paramilitaries enabling LTTE political activities in their areas?
When did the claymore's start poping? After two UNARMED politcal cadres were butchered by paramilitary thugs.
So no point crying now, Brits or anyone else can hoot all they want. The issue will be settled between Tamils and the the State. |
