TULF, EPRLF and PLOTE in a joint statement say that the devolution proposals put forward by the ruling Sri Lanka Freedom Party have complicated matters than paving the way to a solution to the National Question. The joint statement added that the proposals do not address the grievances of the Tamils.
The joint statement signed by V. Ananandasanagaree, President TULF, D.Sithadthan, President PLOTE and T.Sritharan General Secretary, EPRLF adds that instead of taking the peace process forward, the ruling party?s proposal has made it difficult to find a reasonable solution.
Extracted below is the full text of the statement:
It is with deep regret that we the under signed, representing the TULF, EPRLF and PLOTE being thoroughly disappointed with the proposals of the SLFP, as one that will not meet the aspirations of the Tamil people, reject it totally.
Instead of taking the peace process forward, it has made it difficult to find a reasonable solution.
Further more being the ruling party?s proposal that should form the guideline to a solution, it had made even the proposals of the other parties irrelevant.
The powers to be devolved under the SLFP proposals are not even coming closer to the powers vested in the provincial council formed under the 13th amendment to the constitution.
Fifty years of agitation by the Tamil speaking people to win their rights, has brought them back to square one.
After so much of loss of life and destruction to properties and having failed to find a solution under a unitary system, the Tamils will not accept any solution less than one under a Federal constitution.

Looks like you SSSSL are more worried about the propoganda than the economy of SL which is doing down and down and down.
The more you try to oppose the LTTE the more free addvertisement LTTE gets and for FREE.
You SSSSL created the LTTE you SSSSL advertise for them for free. You go round the world begging for money useing LTTE's name.LTTE creates jobs for your military and all SLDF, Ministers make a lot of monet due to LTTE , the President makes even more money from LTTE releted activities etc. etc. etc.
You SSSSL should be very thankful to the LTTE.
LTTE is the saviour of SL. |

no mate what the DOG say , we should not take into account, that is very important , it could be well engineered setup , tomorrow , they will say , just change the line NO.4 or 6 we will accept , at that time they would have convinced foreign media or some foreigns assignments , we have to look into the big picture , no mater these are enemies good or bad not contribution .

In the middle east, if they wanted to get screwed up that is what they wanted. That includes tamil women too.
LTTE had sent so many tamil girls from Wanni to massage parlours in Colombo. that is not foe getting screwed up.
How about major cities inthe world. there are no relatives of your getting screwed up big time.

My interest is mostly because you people affect our lives too. when we live side by side with screwed up people think what will happen to us.
Do you like to live in a screwed up neighbour hood. would you buy a house there among criminals.

what do you mean after 30 years LTTE and tamls are UNKNOWN WORDS in the world.

You seem to see VP did you ask yourself about the GoSL?
VP has sent more them half a dozen presidents and PM on their merry way and he is still around . Which is more than could be said about the SL leaders...........
Stop worrying about the LTTE or VP. You should be worried about yourself and the economy which is in serious trouble.
Your leaders are sucking the country dry and moveing their money overseas like Malaysia ( This can be prooven).
When the time comes they will slowly melt away from the scean and live the wonderful life which Silly Lankans only dream about.and on your money.......go worry about that. |
