Since most SLAF sorties are actually flown by either Pakistani/Ukrainian pilots, if such an event occurred then its possible that their foreign embassy as tigerforce indicated would contact any possible LTTE contacts in regards to retrieving such downed pilot.
If the SLDF is so focused on potential air attacks the LTTE might attempt to sneak in a nother 01KIA-type ground assault on one or more airbases thereby destroying much of the SLAF. This would certainly change the course of the war!
There also lies the possibility of a three-pronged (ground,air,sea) attack on a front in the north or east soon to capture territory... blunting such an offensive wouldn't be simple :D

If TAF can use these light fighers to get rid of SLAF operations in Palalai, then the game is over .... They can then use fighter jets out of Palalai and attack any target in SL even during day time...!
- I think State fighter jet,s main operating point is not Palali but Colombo.
- At any cost if LTTE get rid of Palali, it is impossible to attack during day time using those small crafts. The only possibility is, LTTE should destroy destroy state power both in air and ground which is also impossible at any cost. |

Mahinda, use your Air Force to blanket Kilinochchi with bombs so that they will regret ever having taken on the SLAF.
To beat these people you cannot afford to let them have one inch of 'safe' country in Sri Lanka. No part of Sri Lanka has ever been in the control of a mad Tamil power group - and it should never be.
I hope the legitimate Government of Sri Lanka will wipe these terrorists off the face of this earth. |

But, SLAF had not shown that they can destroy TAF fighters... having Kfirs is one thing and using them against TAF is another matter....
Why, didn't our jets go on a bombing run on one of the TAF's alleged runways? I don't think our jets have any cannons, but since the Tigers fly only at night they are relatively safe since no one can see them..YET. If they flew in broad daylight at their low altitude, even a kid could shoot them down with a rifle.
Now I have to go machan. Long day ahead. :-| |

don't you think that TamilNet/LTTE is the one should give some tangible proof that they did what they are claiming?
do you go to LTTE asking for evidence/or why they haven't categorically denied every time GOSL claim army killed n number of LTTE? or do you expect GOSL to prove what they are claiming? |
