one needs to analyse what is Cast.
it is common in world people are identified by cast.
Hay..this is not my stuff...I copied from Hoole's lecture
cast is what jobs they do.
Vellalam ( vellanmai) = Farmer.
karaiyar(people who lived closed to sea shore) Fisherman
etc...
good..how do you call people blow up themselves...???
even today england if you read englishman's surname they still carry what cast they are.

In Sri Lanka we have names to describe their anatomy and physiology
Ex Panchalingam, Amirthalingam, Arumukam etc etc...
from what i read in Prof hoole , this man is out of date and he talks things that have no sence.
I know man.. I have first hand experience with Hoole brothers..they were a thorn in the..... at Peradeniya. Thinks sun shines out of their a---!
pera dont use his lecture as a reference because i had lived and come from North there is no such things as he says. at least in the last decades.
