The final match was between David ( sri lanka ) and Goliath (Australia ).
So David can not win against Goliath.

The australians are very strong like in the past.
However, we should congratulate sri lankan players for their second best place. That's all.

Let us congratulate our Australian players.

Too bad you didn't bring this up before, and a lot of people wasted time & energy actually going through the entire World Cup. Maybe we should've all gathered and handed over the cup to Australia in the first place!!

Is there any solid statement from anyone (any authority) that Gilchrist used it in the finals?

I'm under the belief that he practised using the squash balls, but didn't use it in the finals.. Wouldn't the umpires have checked the gear before play started?

If the guy did use it in the finals, then it should very well be illegal.. and to think the umpires let him play with it.. that's a very serious allegation!

They can't accept their defeat... They create stories for their defeat...Like Australia cheated...

OMG,..a statement from someone who knows Sri Lankans very well...

I think this is more applicable not for cricket, but for those who try to separate the country by the gun...they also are SRI LANKANS!

World cup has to be played again in front of AI officers since there are lot of confusion about the rules and victory!They will watch whether everyone plays according to their right rule or not!

I doubt if there is any use of making this sort of allegations without accepting the bitter defeat, let those be correct or not.

However, the million dollar question is whether the Aussies would take it in the same way, had this squash ball been used by a player in any south Asian team.
