Lets wait and see how this plays out. As JR says Gilly normally is very sportive and even in the last WC 2003 i saw him walk before the ump made up his mind. He also scores very fast.
i saw the gesture Gilly made and even the commentators couldnt make anything out of it but he was pointing to his glove!!

Dr akai is missing in action. IIRC he was talking about his neighbour an indian lass who had moved in next door! and i have been chking the news of the word tabloid on a regular basis just incase anything surfaces! |

Now for something like that to bring the game to disrepute from a player like Gillie is almost unthinkable. That was my point why we were outclassed by Gillie.

Yeah, that might be the case. In fact, Gillie might have done think without thinking about it in this aspect. Still, it doesn't change the facts of the case does it?

I am a big fan of 'Yomiuri Giants' maybe you heard about them, Yankee's Hideki Matsui the Godzilla came from this team,
Tennis ... I loved to watch Pete Sampras, playing, and know bit about the game too,
Figure Skating ... My mom used to make fun out of me when I was a little boy, she was telling everyone that 'Saint little' is watching girl's ... LOL. Hey, I told her few time that it was not the reason but still she is joking.
F1 is my weak point. :-))

We can argue on when everyone else's strike rate is below 100 and Gillie's well over.
But as I said before Gilly is not a batsman who would just prod here and there. I think what happened was when he started clobbering our bowlers naturally Hayden went to his hut.
Its natural, isn't it when one just clouts the other just stays there to give support. I think that was exactly that happened. Mind you Gillie also started slowly, perhaps if my memory serves me well he had one maiden over in the beginning.
About tactics, there are ifs and buts on those, I remember sometime ago Ponting was accused of having something strapped around his bat to get the grips. So it could be similar, but may be worth having an enquiry why he did show when he got out at 149.

Oh yeah...i am huge fan of yankees..when I was explaing cricket to my customers..i said murali is the roger clemens of cricket: I had the priviledge to see them at the world cup finals many times.
Matsui wasn't impressive last season though..Yankees haven't been playing well, although they got big payrolls. They need good pitchers. i think murali will be ideal if he can throw the ball fast.
Its's interesting how US import lots of Japanese baseball players.

do you mean .5 or 4%. i know the US doesnt have anything over 5% correct. but my point is how much of the medication do you have to drink before you get that much alcohol for a DUI.
now re banned substances yes it will show traces in urine or blood but we are talking minute amounts here. |

I was also wondering if it was against the rules when I read it in the paper yesterday. Naturally, they didn't say it was against the rules. Gilchrist said that he put the ball in his glove only in the final. His coach in Western Australia had told him to do it many years ago to improve his grip. Needless to say, there isn't any suspicion in Australia about it. |
