The LTTE attempt on the Palaly military base was to draw an angry response from the Army. Last Wednesday, troops broke out from their defence lines west of Omanthai to attack rebel positions some six kilometers ahead. Later that day, they fought heavy battles with Tiger guerrillas in the village of ViIlattikulam (north west of Irana Illuppaikulam and east of the Madhu Road Sanctuary). At least 13 soldiers were killed and over 60 were wounded.
Do you recall what your military had to say about that broken offensive? 2 dead 15 wounded... so let revist that line again shall we ;)
Tamilnet has been right more often than your military propaganda machine, just recall all the past battles where the military claims only to have a soldier or two down with stubbed toes in the end owning up well after Tamilnet has already reported the truth of the matter.
BTW Iqbal coined that phrase with respect to the media victories your military keeps portraying. |

i doubt it was shot down. my guess is mechanical failure. probably due to poor maintenance, given the current workload its undertaken.
well , keep this story handy , you may need to repeat it frequently but no more than the number of Kifir available in srilanka , that is very important .well the BIG event not started yet ! |

It was all business in SL regarding some legal matters. It was not a RR trip.
I think you are mistaken or don't know or understand the Sinhalese mentality. They are all pis*ed off there with all kinds of problems and the Politicos are just waiting to give the electoral list and get the fun started.
The ordinary Sinhalese are having a tough time to meeting their daily needs with high borrowing rates, gas prices, commodity prices of the daily essentials going up and top of that Colombo traffic makes things worse.
LTTE is not helping these boisterous bunch who is looking for an excuse to start the fun, by these arial attacks in the middle of the World cup finals. You know how much the Sinhalese love their Cricket. This is the best time to screw your old girl friends when the husbands are drunk and watching cricket. |

Appease the LTTE dogs and SWETS... and be prepared (don't forget to brush the teeth) to see more 'spectacular' terrorist attacks with possible chemical and nuclear weapons... now freely available in the market.
Wow vini has been hitting the hallucinogens early today eh, even AQ can't get a hold of nukes but the LTTE are going to eh.
We haven't been fighting for the right to live with dignity in our own homes for decades just to turn it into a nuclear wasteland. If anyone only racists like you in power are capable of doing so, everyday they prove it by bombing our homes. This it self is proof that we are a separate nation, no other nation on earth bombs their own land (except for dictators like the late Saddam!). |
