| Finally, Guy's whats the conclusion with the story...Afterall, so called SAM fire destruction of Mig and Kafir by tigers air defence system seems to be a full fabrication. Any thoughts? |

Why do you think it is a fabrication?
Both sides lie often but this one does not look like a complete lie. Normal would be to say like GOSL you dint hit the target. |

TrueFactor there is no conclusion yet, LTTE says they shot it down, GoSL says nothing happened.
Can anyone know what the LTTE did, other than people living there who can't speak to reporters anyway? NO.
Can anyone know if all the GoSL planes came back other than the military themselves? NO
So conclusion is = inconclusive! |

I disagree. You may not know/be aware of this information posted by MiG29C but this is common knowledge. Some of this inherent general knowledge for an aviator, aerospace engineer or such individual. Additionaly, technical specs of all aircrafts are quite freely available in mass media.
It is unfortunate that the SL press's analysis of defense issues is very elementary. They usually report hearsay because they lack the technical background to differentiate myth from fact. What MiG29C has done is to bring together the technical information to support his viewpoint. It is refreshing to hear a coherent point of view which is supported by the technical fact.
The LTTE has always been made of 'smoke and mirrors'. The press has helped their propaganda significantly in the past.
i.e. the recent claim of 'two squadrons' attacking Colombo by the LTTE spoke man is part of propagating the myth of power by 'smoke and mirrors' or in this case darkness and small incendiary device (better defined as IEDs) filled with ball bearings.
The damage patterns from these IEDs are quite small. If you take a look the oil tanks that survived right next the the building shed that was hit shows that there is not much explosive power in them and not much precision and accuracy either. So far they have MISSED every target aimed at. The IEDS hit secondary structures from the intended targets. In some cases the margins of error are quite large. Unfortunately the press does not have the capability or knowledge to report that.
By the way, this info is not new to the LTTE as they know that they missed as the end result is no where near their fantasies in terms of physical bomb damage. I also have said this before but every raid they carry out further emboldens the political AND military support from friendly nations to SL. You get my drift...also, expect the crackdowns on the LTTE supporters in those countries to get worse..far worse....weird,eh? sometimes things comes back to bite you on your butt really really hard. :-) |

First it's a Kfir that spewed out smoke and completely disappeared from radar. Now it's suddenly a MiG that fell splosh into the sea.
In a few hours' time it'll be a dragon secretly used by the SLAF that was shot down by an LTTE archer with a magical arrow. |

I truly think this is what is happening to GOSL. It should be having a real sour butt by now. As far as the friendly countries are concerned I have heard nothing. Have you? Who? Where? |

Actually if You read the Report from TamilNet properly:
unconfirmed reports from Colombo said a Israeli-built fast attack Kfir which took off from Katunayake Air Force base Monday has failed to return to the base.
as can be seen Tamilnet did NOT claim to have shot down a Kfir, it was an Unconfirmed Report from Colombo.
It was in their 2nd Report that they named the plane as being a MIG-27 |

Once VP is smoked out .......
Looking at the history and Tamils leaders before VP one can come to a conclusion that when the south looks at VP in the future he will look a saint compared to the ones that would follow him if there is no peaceful resolution to the problem. |
