Idiot hot head VP is responsible for all this misery you encounter.
For me, JVP was as idiotic as VP (JJJJJJ...VP !!) by resorting to thuggery. Things can be settled thru elections/vote ... but whole sale killing invites further killings. It takes time, our peoples were very much disoriented by the Brit colonisation (prey, dont white wash the Brits!).
Get VP to disarm, there will be manay a Lankans like me to gurantee that patriotic Tamils will never feel like 2nd class citizens.

Just spell out your plan, if can be delivered by the president/state then peace is possible. Our experience tells us that Sinhala elitists will never anything more than unitary state as laid down in the Chintanaya. |

ViceSquad I am sure you mean it, but unfortunately for us Tamils its not people like you who are actually running the country, it is people like Saman, and 60 years of bitter history have taught us we cannot trust them.
Look at the most recent proposal, its a joke and an insult. MR is asking for war is the only way to take it. |

What is going on Tamilnet is posting conflicting stories.
One news item says MIG-27 was shot down and the other states a Kfir which took off from Katunayake Air Force base Monday has failed to return to the base. |

We should not forget the fact that it was the military atrocities that set against minorities necessitated Tamil youths to take up arms. We must be reasonable in our demand as putting our clock back is only possible when tangible peace overtures come from those who hold power.
If the weaker community disarms its leaders can be locked up or annihilated. This will take all of us back to 1956. So first come first serve. Produce the genuine proposals or call the army back from Tamil areas to start with. |
