Things r getting very interesting, SLAF has started the night shows......
SLAF super sonic MIG-27s and K'Fir jets made few sorties over an identified LTTE training facility, dropping heavy pay loads in the un-liberated Periyapachchilaipallai area, on Thursday the 19th of April, at 10.00p.m.
The night sorties were carried out with precision air strikes destroying the terrorist training facility. Observation units confirmed that huge fire balls were seen looming from the LTTE dominated area, with a series of explosions. Edited By - rasak - 20 Apr 2007 08:00:42 GMT |

Roy Pres, head of communication section of Norwegian Foreign Ministry, has admitted that a group of political bureau of the tiger organization visited ?Rena?, the Special Force camp of Norwegian military.
The head of the communication centre making a statement from Oslo has said the tiger terrorits? visit was to get an understanding regarding the peace activities the Norwegian Government was carrying on throughout the world.
However, Norwegians Against Terrorism (NAT) says Norwegian Government made available millions of Crones to tiger terrorists violating all regulations of Norway. Mr. Falk Rovik, Head of NAT says NORAD, an institute of Norwegian Government has donated large sums of money to tiger terrorists. He says the statement of the Norwegian Government that tigers were taken to Special Forces camp to talk about peace was an utter lie.
Mr. Rovik says the Special Forces camps in Norway were established to conduct special operations in Kosova and Afghanistan. He ridicules the claim by Norwegian Foreign Ministry saying in no country peace lessons are given in camps of Special Forces. He points out that Norwegian Foreign Ministry is trying to hoodwink Sri Lankans and Sri Lankan government |

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka is ranked among the top 25 countries based on a global index of gender equality, a UN report released yesterday revealed.
United Nations Economic and Social Survey of Asia and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific?s (UN-ESCAP) Economic Affairs Officer Dr.Muhammad Hussain Malik, speaking at the launch of the Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2007, said gender disparities are much less in Sri Lanka as compared to other countries in South Asia.
Sri Lanka scored high in gender equality in health and survival, educational attainment and political empowerment. In South Asia, female school enrolment ratios in most countries except Sri Lanka tend to be lower than in other subregions of Asia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka Executive Director Saman Kelegama said despite internal difficulties, the economy of Sri Lanka expanded by 7.4 per cent in 2006, up from 6 percent in 2005.
The growth has been achieved despite adverse conditions of a deteriorating security situation, two major strikes at the port and tea plantations, increased international oil prices, WTO Doha Round collapse in July and desired market access not materialising.
The growth clearly reflected a number of new infrastructure projects that have kicked-off such as Upper-Kotmale, increasing credit expansion to the private sector and the reduction of unemployment 6.3 per cent, he added. |

SLA should identify the culprits and bring to justice in order to win tamil & muslim people's trust.
If they try to paly the 'blame game' and try to wash their hands will only prove that tamil speaking people have no solution other than seeking LTTE protection.
I think it is a well organized crime by some elements of armed forces to discredit the SLA.
This is worse than terrorism. |
