Virgin says that their jets are too heavy.
Friday, 20 April 2007 - 3:50 AM SL Time

The Virgin Atlantic claims that their A340-600 super jet is dangerously overweight.
The world`s longest passenger aircraft-are heavier than expected, forcing the nose to dip alarmingly.
To rebalance the jet,Virgin Atlantic has been forced to reduce its cargo loads by upto five tonnes a flight at a cost of millions of pounds a year.
Flying nose down also increases the drag off the wings and forces the jet burn more fuel.
Now the airline-Virgin- could be joined by other A340-600 customers, such as German carrier Lufthansa and Spanish airline Iberia,in seeking compensation from the producer of the jet, the Airbus.
Airbus is desperately trying to salvage its A380 double-decker superjumbo, which is capable of seating 800 passengers.

A340-600

'Allavukku minjinaal amirathamum nanju'Recently Boeing was on news because of the orders for 777 and the latest 787 with stock going up and new hires.
That's a lot of passengers for A380.
