I don't know from which angle you are looking... but here's help screen.
As far as the Sri Lankan conflict is concerned... it's LTTE who wants (and promised) to achieve something. Call it whatever you want.. elaam, homeland, liberation, enlightenment etc. They want to create something that's not there.
GOSL and SLDF are only preventing that goal... whenever LTTE makes... SLDF breaks... Whenever LTTE terrorists bomb us... SLDF multiplies that terror 10 times takes it to the LTTE. There's no urgency for this work.
In fact SLDF has been greatly successful in creating divisions among these SWETs and LTTE dogs....Now LTTE is killing their own folks and vice versa on a daily basis... Did that happen in 1983 and prior to that?
Excellent work by all previous GOSL.
So you can now conclude who is winning / gaining / losing / running / hiding ... and... finally....ACHIEVING.... |

Oh yeah? Some Yankees also call the great US 'a failed state'... Some say US is terrorist no. 1.
But the show, my friend, goes on... on and on... just like the proud SLDF systematically using fresh DDT on SWETs like you... and LTTE terrorist dogs.
No one should take these name calling beyond what it actually is.... FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.

This news item is far from reality.
I just visited SL in Feb, and from what I could gather.. The government has canceled pensions for many government jobs!
Even those who work in important public sectors such as teachers no longer get pension. The government has basically stolen their pension fund, which would be illegal to do in any other country.
Most educated people have already left the country and continue to do so at a regular basis.
Emigration rate has gone up. Especially those seeking foregin labour jobs.
If unemployment is down, the only way it would've happened is those who qualify for employment, but have no jobs have simply left the country! |

Srilanka has sufficient natural resources that are needed to improve the country's development! But what is use of it when you guys busy in fighting over religion and language!! Idiotic ppl

Vini the yak doesn't seem to realize that both the US and the UK have lost the war in Iraq and have already admitted that fact!
The only reason the UK is still there is simply they're looking for an opportune moment to pull out.. The US is in it for pride, but they have already realized it can't be won.
But then again, the US and UK are not as dumb as you yaks.. They just fought the war for about 3 years and they've already realized it can't be won and are thinking about other ways to solve the problem.. But look at Sri Lanka, 23 years at war and still can't seem to comprehend reality for what it is! |

Everyone knows the reasons why US/UK are there. They are fighting for totally different reasons.... anytime they will go back... they are not fighting in their own country.
Now where do you want proud SLDF to go, leaving the great all Sri Lankan towns like Jaffna, Batti, Trinco etc.?
Haaaaaaaaaaaa? Sri Lankans of all ethnic background have the right to settle in any place they like... The fact of the matter is that the majority community cannot do that in NE as of now. Until that day is dawned... the fight must be on at any cost.
TASSLs right to settle in IN ANYWHERE in Sri Lanka must be extended to the SISSLs to settle in NE. Tell me why not?

This is one of the dumbest statements based on reality. This is not feasible just based on cost-benefit. If the GOSL is to do this then it should maintain a military presence like Israel in occupied territories where the military out numbers the population. The foreign aid SL gets is not even equal to 10% of what Israel gets and it does not see it as a feasible option. Leaving people without protection is a crime because the consequence is severe.
Knowing how much GOSL has invested in N/E I don't see many people rushing to live there.

This was the same thinking JR had in 1983 and history has thought otherwise. Stupidity has no limits but the people suffering on both sides are the poor hardworking people who dream of a day they could live away from politics. |
