Angry with the London-based Amnesty International (AI) for organising a campaign against Sri Lanka during the on-going World Cup cricket tournament in the West Indies, the Sri Lankan government is delaying the grant of visas to an Amnesty team wanting to visit the island. A top official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Hindustan Times, that government had not decided to deny visas, but Amnesty had been told that this was not the appropriate time to visit the country.

Ah... ah.. payback time for panty snatchers.

Don't make this so public... do it covertly.... Like their baggages getting lost..... hotel room has no hot water... no AC... 1001 we to skin these foriegn birds...

Have you got any proof of JVP having a armed wing?I don't think so and if they do then it would be their folly.SL should not tolerate any armed group.

GG,
Some guys do and they still get dumped.

It is better to not to feel possessive, If she wants to go with anyone else, she should be free to do so. Guy can get some one else.

Media victories, military victories and realities on Tamilnet

LTTEPS, Tamilnet and Sibernews air waves are numb following todays air strike at 09:45 SL Time (05:15 GMT)

SLAF fighters destroy an LTTE training facility - Mullattivu

''..SLAF super sonic MIG-27 fighters, and K'fir jets pounded on an identified LTTE training facility with precision strikes at Wattappalai, south of Puthukkudiyiruppu in the un-liberated Mullativu district at 09.45a.m, today (17)..''

http://www.defence.lk/new.asp?fname=20070417_05

Why hasn't this incident been reported on tamilnet or any other official Tiger organ!!..

lets analyse some recent trends in tamilnet reporting of prominent SL Air Force air strikes:

61 schoolgirls killed, 129 wounded in airstrike

http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=19224

Airstrike occurs 03:00 GMT, first reported on tamilnet 04:15 GMT - delay 1 hrs

175 schoolchildren, 9 staff narrowly escape air strike on school

http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=21607

Airstrike occurs 07:15 GMT, first reported on tamilnet 08:36 GMT - delay 1.5 hrs

2 killed, 4 wounded in SLAF airstrike in Mullaiththeevu

http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=21777

Airstrike occurs 08:30 GMT, first reported on tamilnet 10:34 GMT - delay 2 hrs

These air strikes were reported mere hours after they occured!!..

For comparative purposes lets observe the associated time delays from a sample of less prominent air strikes as reported on tamilnet:

SLAF bombs Vadamaraadchi East villages

http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=21795

Airstrike occurs 08:30 GMT, first reported on tamilnet 11:09 GMT - delay 2.5 hrs

SLAF bombs civilian area in Vanni

http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=21408

Airstrike occurs 04:00 GMT, first reported on tamilnet 07:50 GMT - delay 4 hrs

SLAF airstrike kills 2 in Vanni

http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=21303

Airstrike occurs 03:00 GMT, first reported on tamilnet 04:35 GMT - delay 1.5 hrs

Todays air strike occurred at 05:15 GMT; time now 14:15 GMT - delay thus far is 9hrs..

A Tiger training facility is the target; A prominent target one might say!!.. The Vanni air waves are quiet, stone cold.. the numbness is deafening!!..

Whats happening in the jungles Mullattivu!!.. the omens don't appear to be good for our feline brethren in the arid jungles of Mullattivu..

If you don't mind let me add:

Let there be no doubts about the vice-versa too.

If SL to move ahead, then they must scale down the government sector who is a burden on the tax payers and highly inflationary and the government simply prints the money to pay them or put unnecessary burden on the tax payer.Money is devalued thus increases the cost of living.Only way to fight inflation and cost of living is to cut the money supply and reduce govt. expenditure, where over staffed govt. servants take most of the govt. budget.Much responsibility of the day to day running of the state should be in the commercial sector and should be allowed to compete with one another to keep the prices down. They too will attract private capital for further expansion.Electric, water and oil and rail could be a good example for the private sector.
