Bl..y good. we were thinking of this since the times of Sir Jhon. We were a feudal society. All of us are former slaves of the aristocratic few. We still have that mentality. Some dictator needed to put the country back on course. I hope this happens.

You got it right!Every politician in power tries to put Buddhism at the top of our lives as this is a big con to cheat the Moda sihalayas. They have made these poor people backward,so that they could win their votes and suppress them at the same time.I am making this fact to the JVP lads, perhaps they are seeing the light. This courruopt rajapaksa clan will never run a dictatorship for the good of all the people.I could mention few people who could lead our nation as one man dictator.Persons like Generals Sirilal Weerasooriya,Janaka Perera and the present Air force chief.out of the politicians it could be Ranil and Anandasangaree, with the proper backing,as they are truly patriotic and honest, but need a bit of backbone.Ranil caused the most damage to the terrorists by diminishing their support from the diaspora with the CFA,which is vital.Time would have proved him right. With all the smuggle weapons, tigers are a rag tag terrorist bunch, that could have been dealt with the right leadership and they are no match to the SL army.

I had the privilege to meet Sir John in Kent,a true courageous Buddhist but would have done a good job,if not for the stupid monks who hounded him, with the backing of some short sighted, power hungry politicians, SL could have been as good as Singapore had he has stayed on,but he didn't get the backing of the stupid Sinhalese. That was our tragedy.

Who is this Presidential advisor and what qualifications does he have?

Considering the nonsense that Dayan Jayalettike has been spurting since been made a Presidential advisor one wonders whether the posts are granted on psychiatric advice!

Dayan Jayathilaka was my close friend. But my JVP friends blaming him for his roll in 1989. Late Tahyapathirana my dearest student leader friend to whom I have dedicated one of my book published in India was also not liked him.
I invited Dayan to North in 1976 to take lectures on Marxism and Nicaragua liberation struggle to emerging Tamil militants. After that young LTTE have translated his writing on guerrilla war in Nicaragua. I was not able to believe his political somersaults

SLA wanted peace with LTTE and even supplied weapons to them.

Wrong... It was Premadasa who sent supplies through SLA...
Poor lads had to carry out orders whether they liked it or not....

See.... what a disciplined Army....!

I was not able to believe his political somersaults

Well.... it shows that he has come of age, ?gained maturity, and evolved....

And certainly has aligned himself with reality at the end....which is a good sign....!

LTTE would love a military gov. in SL .
Most of LTTE's informants are in the military and a lot of em in key positions are on the LTTE payrool.
Life will definately be better than what it is now.

JVP & JHU will not be too pleased .
Maybe the JHU could be given army uniforms in differant shades of YELLOW a very good choice for the brave JHU & JVP .
or
Camouflaged robes, for easy Concealment of weapons and maybe a couple of bottles of GULL as well. It will surely make a Happy monk out of these cowards.
Who is this Presidential advisor and what qualifications does he have?

Same can be said of majority of ministers and military stratagiestand economist, and most of all advicsors to even bigger dummies.

Goatabaya left the military when the situiation got a little too hot and dangerous, now since his brother is the commander in chief he is back with a cosy and a very profitable post and all of a suddern he is a Military Advisor........?

True. But where will you find such a man? Definately not in Silly Lanka.

A sincere honest man will do fine.
But they are an extinct species in Silly Lanka.
There could be some in the west but they would never come to SL not for a million bucks. They are too smart. They know SL is not the place for them.
