Yes Robins,,

At that time when some of the Tamil politicians kept quite, Thandai Chelva only came forward to speak on behalf of Tamils and their grievances

Robins,

Yes, I wrote about the misguiding JHUs and the monks in Sri Lanka!

But you want to opt or close my right to talk about pope's 'mishap'

All what Pope said is sort your problems through negotiations, not through bloodshed!!

Hmh, so you thought I didn't know right?

Why did you want the Pope to say I support the MR gvt in its war!

What is it?

Are you getting any echoes or voices inside you skull?

he will never say that!

I though you at least have the ability to understand that there are people around you, who aren't obsessed with MR, unlike you.

I cant see the problem Saint!!

You should have asked it in the beginning before you go after imagined thoughts.

explain the problem if you can!! please try again, its worth clarifying!

I am more than glad to.

Religious leaders should refrain making comments on sensitive matters, I don't care whether they are Buddhists or ...

And people should know the hatred they can make through their religious related targeted comments.

This pope made a big wave of violence by his comments on Islam and he lost immense ground in moderate peoples heats.

Religion should bring peace and harmony, not the hatred.

It makes me sad when people without thinking too much make comments on other religions.

Robins,

The honour of the Tamils was partly salvaged by S.J.V.
Chelvanayagam, who voted against those despicable Acts of
discrimination and broke away from the Tamil Congress

Party of G.G. Ponnambalam. In 1949 S.J.V. Chelvanayagam
formed the Federal Party to agitate for a federal constitution
to safeguard the Tamil rights. He was the first Tamil leader
to alert the Tamils to the dangers of unitarianism and
Sinhalese hegemony.

This is how thandai Chela felt at that time....from Mr.mahendrans' book

SLFP to propose abolition of executive presidency

Executive PResident is good for a country.

but, he has to be honest and should really serve the country.

In order to catch corrupt leaders, he should be accountable for the Law of the Land.

I think only the weak people and the opposition parties want Executive presidency be abolished.

Anud,

A honest leader is only lacking in Srilankan politics...Even if 100 presidents come - no one will be honest and not corrupt...

Suriyan,
For me S.J.V.Chelvanayagam is one of those so called educated people who let these racist wolves out for petty political gains. Same goes with SWRD.

Thanks for that, how true is it even today! Nothing has changed!! has it?

Saint

Fine, you dont like JHU in politics, moks in politics, and POpe in politics!! We are in agreement there!!

But Pope here is talking about uneccesary sufferings of civilians who ever it may be!!

Plus you are representing a country and a community hell bent on following budhism in politics like the Islamic ruling countries following Islamic laws!!

I have never seen you complain madly about it! if you do you should go mad every day!!
