Sri Lanka in 1948 and works at a Jesuit School in Batticaloa told Time magazine.
We know what army goons did to several of the other American Jesuit priests in Batticaloa, most of them are close family friends having been mentors to my father, so we know where their sympathies lay. So this poor priest is just staying safe from the Karuna and State terrorists. |

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected media reports that it has given certain assurances to Sri Lanka over a campaign by a human rights watchdog.
The ICC Communications Officer told BBC Sinhala that the world cricket governing body is 'not involved' in the ongoing battle between the Sri Lanka government and the Amnesty International (AI).
'This is a matter between Amnesty International and the Sri Lankan government and as such, we are not involved,' James Fitzgerald said in an email message. |

Buddhist do not take anything the Pope says seriously.
They are good only at blameing everyone but themselves.
VP did not decide to fight the GOSL out of the blues.
VP is only reacting to the actions of the GOSL.
GOSL and the people who support it are worse than terrorist. They claim to fight terrorism but do things worse than LTTE.They even do so many crimes and try to blame the LTTE for it.What a cowardly act to be committed against its own people. Mayby it dose not consider the Tamils as Sri Lankans and that is the reason the Tamils want their own homeland.
The Raceist sinhala buddhist people are the main cause of the troubles in SL. |

Funny thing is that not a single person of the majority has written a post showing remorse, or for that matter showing some embarrassment for being grouped with the likes of the African nations that are at the top of the list for crimes against humanity.
Yes indeed, it is truly hilarious, proving themselves to be guilty as sin by attacking the messenger and not heeding the message, first, Allan Rock, HRW, UN, and now AI (which has just blown up in their faces given the ICCs denial of the GoSL claims!).
Such childish behaviour, but what can one expect from a bunch of tribals who are hanging onto some mythical dream of a united buddhist sinhala island, a flasehood only created for them by the British, never found anywhere else in the history of the island.
