So the TGV was impressive, but this beauty is still the fastest having reached 581Kph (361 Mph).
However in the video it is doing `only` about 500 Kph. |

Test runs of TGV and Shinkansen were conducted in the special laid tracks and running conditions.
In a commercial run, TGV has small edge over Japan's counter-part, since first one travels at 320km/h and second one is at 300km/h.
High speed traveling is limited by safety concerns, in fact you can run these trains at an ideal condition; but question surfaces how would you do it in a normal colder-snowy condition. Edited By - Sritharan - 5 Apr 2007 19:35:48 GMT |

Sri actually apart from safety they are more worried with cost, going over 320kph is not as cost effective. |
