Morawaka,

as long as LTTE carry guns in Srilanka, we never allow to give simple develution.

You suffer from the same illness that our elitist politicians do. So long as YOU think you 'allow' or disallow anything happening in SL no problem will be solved. That's is the reason LTTE is fighting to reverse this attitude so that either all Sri Lankans, Muslims and Tamils included, collectively decide to solve our problemns. Now as you say only Sinhalese have that right of solving the problem or destroying the country.

Tamils are prepared to fight as long as it takes to resolve the problem and do justice.

Hon. Kadiragamer, A Tamil who was the Foreign Minister

Kadirkamar could not speak Tamil but very fluent in Sinhalese. He did not have any Tamil friend but had many Sinhalese friends. He married a Sinhalese and lived among them.

He was the enemy of Tamils for the simple reason that when SLAF bombed Navaly church in 1995 killing 121 civilians he threatened the ICRC with expulsion for telling the SLAF to avoid civilian targets. When Chandrika imposed food embargo to Tamils and children starved and died he never even unttered a word of sympathy. He is inhuman and supported a anti-Tamil racist govenment.

Singapore seceded from Malaysia in 1965, enacted Tamil as an Official Language though Tamil population is only 4.2% and treat all the communities, majority and minority, as equals with dignity.

In SL that got independent in 1948 and enacted Sinhala Only as the Official language, Tamil speaking people make up of nearly 24% but the minister in charge of implementing official language confesses that there are not enough Tamil translaters or type writers. It's racism.

This kind of staments make no sense towards NAtional issue of Srilanka ...

Ah rishy old boy you are back, I was waiting for your return.

So I finished reading the Robert Knox book, and contrary to what you claimed, it quite clearly showed that there was a Tamil kingdom on the island even over 300 years ago when the text was written.

It was even funny that Robert escaped the Kandian king by fleeing into this Tamil Kingdom, from where he got to the Dutch and finally to Colombo which was also under duch control.

And even better guess where the Sinhala kingdom ended? At anuradhapura, so please vacate Vuvuniya now will you ;)

I will add the pertinent excerpts from the text when I get a min to the post in my space if you wish to read them.

Can Adela Balasingham (wife of the late Taiwan Gong spot seeker) speak Tamil?

He did not have any Tamil friend but had many Sinhalese friends.

It is a pity that what the world accept as truth SLG is refusing to recognize. As the Canadian leader says Sri Lanka has to change. One time there was the King Maker the Kelaniya Priest Buddharakita Thera. Now it is the JHU.

the ethnic conflict will never end unless Colombo recognises 'the legitimate collective and individual rights of the Tamils'.

Using the same yardstick, has Canada ever advised the U.S./Israelis on the 'collective and individual rights' of Palestinians which has been trampled for 60 years?

What happened to the 'collective and individual rights' of Palestinians when the West including Canada withheld funds after the Hamas government was formed?

Did Canada urge Israel to release custom dues etc due to the Palestinians which was and still is frozen by the Israelis?

The hypocrisy of the West is really nauseating.

The government has to change itself, before that let GOSL finish off LTTE.
