I don't know wether you live in SL. But Srimal11's father lives close to BIA. May be ja-ela, hendala, wattala i don't know. He had apparently told sirimal according to his post There were lots of smoke arising from the camp
which could be seen, after the attack. And there were dead and injured SLAF men.

if so how would you call the SLAF's 30 year old mig 27--
tic tic ? or may be tok,tok. ( they drop the bolts and nuts

It seems that it is too late to stop LTTE from building their own twin engin sub-marines.
Since their peaceful demandes were regularly rejected by the sri lankan government , LTTE was compelled to seek all these modern war materials and it is not their fault.
International communities should approve LTTE'slatest submarines projects for the sake of peace in sri lanka
with federal sytem.
I hope that sinhlaese people will be forced to accept federal system for Tamils through war. This is what wanted Mr.Mahind and Mr.Ranil.
Unless the Sri Lankan authorities come forward to meet Mr.VP India or any other foreign country can not stop LTTE from building all these powerful submariens and I would like to advise our sinhalese brothers specially all three arm forces to leave immediately from the northern province without sacrifying their life in vain in the hands of LTTE forces. Sodiers have not more rights toaccept what the government demands.
We have to think about our coming generations but not the present JVP,JHU and bouddhist monks.
By accepting a federal system within the sovernty of Sri Lanka our coming generation ( Tamils,sinhalese and Muslims ) will thank us for ever;
Please Mr.Mahinda; drop your bloody arrogant policy and you can't kill our young soldiers and civils for your friends Monks,JVP and JHU.
By reading my humble request you will annonce onRadio immediately to surrender or accept our federal system through this Canadian former Prime Minister.
Get out from your temple tree to save ourcoming generation,and the country.Please. |

Just having two small air crafts with LTTE is not an Air Force. In that sense late Upali Wijewardena too had his own Air Force as he had his own small plane and a helicopter. LTTE uses these tactics because we have very small military forces who use very old technology in this war. For example, the MIGs the SLAF purchased recently was manufactured in 1982 and they are 25 years old. When LTTE travelled 400 km and dropped 3 bombs to Air port not a single shot was fired to those air craft. If we had a good aif force can this happen?. Therefore we should not warry LTTE's sea or air power and destroy LTTE as early as possible.
Indians concern LTTE's capabilities because they know how LTTE treated them after sending IPKF in 1987. |

Iraq or Afganistan situations cannot be compared with Sri Lanka. Our majority Tamils are living in South and doing business with Sinhalse and Muslims peacefully. GOSL is figting against LTTE (a rebellion group of Tamils who are sri lankans) to build a peaceful country.
In Iraq or Afganistan NATO soldiers are fighting for other reasons. May be for oil in Iraq or destroy Al Kaida or Thalaiban in Afganistan. Military forces in SL use old technology to combat LTTE. LTTE major threat to military forces are landmines and clamomines and still soldeirs use manual methods to detect them. US and NATO troops use very sophesticated weapons in Afgan and Iraq but they work for money. |

Easier said than done.
But getting Sinhalese to talk is not a problem, getting them to stop is............
Dose anyone see the bigger picture? LTTE is getting stronger while GOSL talks big.
There are many countries in the world who have navies but do not have subs. So if the LTTE can have Subs it is way advance of many countries.
SLAF needed Paki pilots to show them how to use the bombers. Having equipment is not the great it is the know how to use it effectively that matters.
What is the point of having an entire fleet of aircrafts when you do not know how to use it to your advantage.
Size dose not matter in this case it is the application of the weapons to get max. benifit is the key. Something the GOSL dose not seem to know. What good is all the MIG's and everything elsa when you do not know its use.
If the LTTE had what the SLAF has this war would have been won a long time ago. |
