LTTE building submarines?

New Delhi, Friday, PTI: The LTTE, which has raised security concerns by becoming the world`s first insurgent group to use air power, might be working on acquiring underwater vessels that could pose a threat to merchant shipping in regional waters.
Reports have suggested that the LTTE, which possess a naval wing called the Sea Tigers, is building a mini-submarine as part of its new arsenal.
A top Indian Navy official, who was asked about this issue yesterday, did not discount it entirely and said the LTTE could be `trying its hand` at building `submerged vessels`.
To questions about the possibility of the LTTE acquiring a submarine and how big a threat this would pose to India and its neighbourhood, Rear Admiral Pradeep Chuahan said the threat would be as good or bad as threats posed by any terrorist group operating on land.
Rear Admiral Chauhan, the assistant chief of naval staff at naval headquarters here, however, noted that submarine building and operating such vessels are very complicated matters.
`You cannot make or operate submarines by opening manuals,` he said, asserting that surveillance and patrolling had been intensified in the Palk Strait and adjoining seas.

Seriously, this Rum Guzzler and others very well know that the LTTE does not pose a threat to the merchant ships. LTTE does not pose a threat to anyone not working to crush the Tamil freedom struggle.

This is about 20 years old NEws REport.
f this guy reported saying LTTEers used submraines for drug smuggling, were caught and now in the jail. That is right.
during the Second world war, Japanese had Kamakazi submarines only two people can go.
LTTE building similar things were caught long long ago. |

Where is so called Air tigers. Everybody knows again they never appear. Once they come out East Eelam Air force will shoot down their toy planes. Vanni LTTE invaders, build underground bunkers. Within couple of months, East Eelam Air force will attack you. Not a single Vanni LTTE invaders or their terrorist boss P. Prabakaran can survive from this attack |

Even when the aeroplane story surfaced people did not accept. IT IS THE SAME THING HERE. EVEN AT THIS STAGE COME TO SOME AGREEMENT before any big damage has taken place.

You idiots do not know about LTTE well enough. LTTE is the first one to build a nuclear bomb, Aircraft carrier, nuclear submarines, etc..
I suppose you are the ONE who knows about the LTTE.
Why didn't you warn the SLAF about the attack? .......hi hi hi hi . the government has given 1.5 billion rupees to the LTTE
(LeN-2007 March 30, 6.15 pm) The United National Party charges that the government has given 1.5 billion rupees to the LTTE.
After Sripathi and Mangala the ministers who were removed from their portfolios revealed about a dead between the government and the LTTE it was UNP spokesperson Gayantha Karunathilaka who revealed this to the media yesterday.
He said that the government had given 700 million rupees to the LTTE before the last presidential election and 800 million after the election. This had been revealed to the party by UNP leader Ranil Wickeremesinghe at the party convention. Speaking to the media yesterday, Karunathilake said they have information that the LTTE had utilized this money for military purposes.
He said Colombo was first bombed from air in 1942 during the world war but even then there were preparations for it but the government still has not taken any measures even after Katunayake being bombed and the LTTE flying back to Kilinochichi safely. He said instead of taking any measures to prevent such attacks in the future the government is as always blaming the CFA. He stressed that the government through these acts are trying to mislead the public.
