We destroyed 18 MIGS , 25 KFIRS , 70 Helicopters

According to BBC world service,. 2 airmen died, 17 injured. Attack was carried out by using micro light plane.

Colombo, 26 March, (Asiantribune.com): The LTTE have flown in an explosives packed light aircraft, flying under Sri Lankan radar in an attempt to smash it into the MIG fighter jets parked at the Katunayake airforce base on early hours of Monday.
The LTTE suicide aircraft has failed in its attempt as it has reportedly crashed within the airforce compound. |

Well the attack is disturbing. The air defences should have taken these out.
But, what is more disturbing for LTTE would be the response from SLAF. Now the international community will see a real threat so SLAF is likely to take advantage.
Next 48 hours would be of interest. |
