When the Tamil Civilians were bommed by the GoSL, it wasn't an uncivilised event. However if the LTTE attacked the military airbase, it is seen as an uncivilised event!! What a world we live on!!
Tamils have democratically voiced their opinion for many years to many dermocratically elected governments (past and present) and it is all like blowing the trumphet into a deaf man's ears. These so called democratically elected governments would only listen to activities of this nature. I am glad that the LTTE are capable of doing this for the shake of the Tamils in Sri Lanka. It is perfectly acceptable to voice opinions in a democracy but not to a dictatorship government. (Zimbawe is a very good example). It is perfectly normal for a civilised elected government to listen to the citizens of the civilised country. But an uncivilised elected government wouldn't listen to the voice of the ordinary citizens of the country. I am glad that atleat the LTTE (spoke persons for the majority of Tamils in Sri Lanka) are capable of making the uncivilised government to listen to the voices of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
I am sure people are aware of the fact, even in a family dispute between the husband and the wife, it is ideal if the differences could be resolved amicably. If the husband and wife don't have anything common or have differences to sort out, the ideal situation is to sit down and talk. If they still cannot agree on issues which are affecting their personal aspirations, then the second best is to get a divorce and go separate ways. I don't advocate divorce but that is a way out of the situation than suffering. Just for the shake of the families and friends lots of people put up with the agony of living together (It is not the case only in Asian culture but also in the Western culture too). Take this anology and see the situation in Sri Lanka with the same eyes and you will have an answer to the problem. If this simple philosophy is not understood, then there will be many more deaths and sufferings until the so called democratically elected governments and the citizens understand the simple philosophy of live.
For goodness shake, the Tamils are humans too and let them have a dignity of life. |

Sinhalese had ever let the tamils to live in this country side by side from centurines before.
Dont forget its the tamils who started racial hell saying they need 50/50. remember????
Just a small in number asking for 50/50 share of power?? what a greedy nation that is.
tell me what tamils cannot do in this country? only majority sinhalese are getting iltreated by minortity tamils. Tamils can happily and proudly say ''we are discriminated' they can voice againt GOSL and go protest campaign on any street they wish. Whn we sinhalese do the same.. ahh here we are the discriminaters. cannot we voice on belah of us??
in every where in this country, tamils have been enjoiying all what we have in. Tell me how much you Tamils have contributed to common goals in this country?? you tamils always looked only at tamils. Its only majority sinhalese toiled and work hard to bring Sri Lanka up. You Tamils only here to enjoy what we harvest, and not only that.. you guys pay respect to that saying you are discriminated in this country.
EVERY WHERE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE TAMILS AS MIGRANTS, YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS IN YOUR COUNTRY. KEEP THEM UNLESS YOU WANT THEIR VOTES. |

| In a democratic country any citizen should be able to be practice his or her rights. But in Sri Lanka, one has to be a Sinhalese and a Budhist to be a Prime Minister. One can become a Budhist if one chose to follow Budha's teaching, but cannot get converted to a Sinhalese. Simple truth - Do you agree? You had to be born in that community to be a Sinhalese. So where is the democracy in Sri Lanka? |

Because the barbarians see things from their angle they prolong the agony of a nation. They are blind not to see and learn how other countries even in their immediate neighbourhood resolved their ethnic problems within few years of independence. %0 long years have passed still barbarism and Sinhala-Buddhism rules the day. |

| You are absolutely correct. Take Singapore for example. I did touch on this some time back and I will say that again. There was a time, the Singapore Telecom Engineers were trained in Sri Lanka by Sri Lankan Telecom. Now it is the other way around. Sri Lankan Engineers are trained in Singapore by Singapore Telecom. Singapore has no natural resources and still classed as good as a developed country. How did that happen? Compare Singapore and Malaysia. Malaysia had their own problems - Same thing did happen in Malaysia for the same reason as in Sri Lanka. Now the Malaysians have opened their eyes and want to flourish just like Singapore. Hence many western industries have set up manufacturing plants in Malaysia (as that has space and cheap labour). Why could not that have happened in Sri Lanka? As long as the selfish politicians are in power and democracy is not practiced, Sri Lanka will destruct itself and become one of the poorest countries in the world. Bob Geldoff has to organisise an event to feed the children of Sri Lanka!! |

As you say S'pore have advanced beyond recognition. There are only 4.2% Tamil speaking people (60% of 7% Indians) yet Tamil is made an Official Language and implemented. These Indians were taken there at about the same time as upcountry Tamils in SL.
There all those abiove 18 yrs of age must undergo military training whereas only poor join the Security Forces in SL. Not a single relative of 225 law makers or journalists are on the battle front. So long as only the poor are used as cannon fodders and the influencial are excempted the military adventure and the fighting will go on. There are nearly 24% Tamil speaking people in SL and the Tamil Official Language act passed in 1988 is still not implemented for not having Tamil translators and type writters.
Sinhala Buddhists want to rule as colonialists but Tamils do not want Sinhalese as their rulers.

This is a great shame for the SLA...
If, This would have happened in a civilized country, definitely the defence minister will resign from his job for neglicence..
But, when a country ruled by a 'Punnaku' idiot, we can't expect all these..
If LTTE can fly upto Katunayake, all other military bases are only peanuts for them..

Please do not be so harsh on MR. He wants his family to rule the country like his predecessors. He came to power by signing an MOU with JVP qand JHU but somersaulted. Later he signed another MOU with UNP and somersaulted again. He simply cannot keep his promises or agreements but wants to be in power by cook or by crook.
Can you find any politician in SL who is really interested in the country or welfare of the people? No. |

Indian government should cancell all flights of Air India towards Colombo for the security of People.
Henceforth Any Indian military supplies to Sri lankan arm forces shall be considered to be an act of provaction and Tamils living all over the world will not accept any such arms deals with the sri lankan government against Tamils.
For the security of India specially Tamil Nadu India should now stop giving military assistances to Sri lankan
government.
However, any attempt on the part of the Indian government for peace with LTTE and sinhnalese shall be much appreciated by Tamils. |
