There are many jaffana tamil students in university of peradeniya. ( in other universities also) but there is no single sinhala student in jaffna or eastern university. What is the reason and who is the racist race??????????
true mate, but I think this is more of a secruity thing.
Remember there are some sinhala who fight for the LTTE! ;)

The LTTE efforts to replenish its depleted arsenal suffered a serious setback when the SLN intercepted and destroyed two of its large vessels carrying huge stocks of armaments in separate engagements yesterday.
Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) tracked them down on the high seas, a senior military official said. The Island learns that four OPVs were deployed to carry out the latest operation which resulted in the first-ever destruction of two LTTE vessels during a confrontation with the navy. |

is hilarious coming from someone who supports a terror outfit that has killed thousands of innocent women, children and men. All unarmed. Your LTTE has walked in to hundred of villages and hacked to death innocents in their sleep and you dare call us heartless?
What happened to the Tamil innocents who were sleeping there before these so called Sinhala innocents moved in? Any ideas? Such a shame eh? Anyway maybe not as violent as in the past but somehow these squatters must be made IDPs for sure.
And then you have the solution again (or at least one far better than anything we will ever see):
govern the country along provincial lines, ban the division of the country on ethnic lines, MR and GOSL must make an effort to abolish the Exec. Przedncy and hand over the power to the parliament with a prime minister who will be rotated ethnically every 4-5 years. Keep a ceremonial presidency chosen for seniority and education. Abolish all parties and form only 2 sides to balance the power. Sri Lanka is not ready yet for a complete democracy like the one we have seen in the past 30 years. Must get rid of the ghetto mentality that is seen in the people of the sub continent. make a balance mix of all ethnicity group all over. Just my HO.
Moby this will NEVER happen, the southern political body will not let it happen, it is the thrid rail of your politics: appearing to help the Tamils, if not your political career you very life may be over for it.

Surrendered LTTE cadres lead Karuna to four big guns
The Karuna faction has boosted its firepower with the recent recovery of four mortars earlier possessed by the LTTE.According to Karuna?s spokesperson Azad Moulana they recovered four mortars including two 120 mm tubes during a search operation in the Thoppigala area, the focus of ongoing security forces operations spearheaded by elite units.He claimed that LTTE cadres led them to the site where the armaments were buried. Moulana said that the informants were among 39 LTTE cadres who surrendered to Karuna loyalists recently.
