We've said to them we will do all that we can to help but... the only realistic way we're going to get a solution here is if we come back to that 2002 agreement and make sure it is implemented.'

The comments came as senior defence officials said Sri Lanka's latest military campaign against the Tiger rebels could go on for another three years

It seems that it may be difficult to earn money for three more years.

There are worse Stag nights, Karaoke joints, you name it they have it. First do something to stop those, not these things. Nudity is an art, if he is in to culture he should know better. Obviously that does not mean you can bring all the filth under the sun with the caption 'advertising'.

I like the Nudity as an art, like in Sigiriya.
I am against using half naked Women and men to promote products.
Big corporations should make better way to promote than using intimacyuality.
I do not know how they are going to implement this law. Hope this does not affect the artists.

Maitreya:

If it is done tastefully, advertising could be an art.

There are other social problems in SL than taking cheap shot at naked bodies etc.

Isn't it in Varanasi in India they have the whole display of 'kama sutra' any though on that?

Hey GroovyGirl,
I know some advertising companies use tasteful nudity but most of them exploit womens body to sell their products, Look at the Fashion industry setting a standard as Skinny tall women who look like unhealthy as their models.
This send a wrong message to women and they all strive to look like a model.
Also the use of muscular men . This put immense pressure on women and men.
When someone paint or take picture for money it can not be an art, It is done with the money in their mind, not the art. The artist can not fully control over the image. Kamasutra is a great piece of art, I think every one should practice it to the Max. Then there will be no civil war in SL. People will be so much blissfully
and have no time to worry about mundane things. This world is a intimacyually deprived society, that is why we have all this problem, Sex should be worshiped, not intimacyuality.

Blair urges Sri Lanka to implement 2002 agreement
Mar 14, 2007, 16:06
TNS

Unfortunately Mr.Blair or the British commission do not know who is doing the administration in Sri lanka? Is it the arm forces? Is it the JVP anti-Tamil culprits well backed by one of the worst bouddhist monks in Asia or the the poorly educated Mr.mahinda and racist sinhalese political parties?

However, Mr.Blair has no more rights to ask now the sinhalese government to implement 2002 agreement. If he was little intelligent (Mr.Blair) he should not have begged all the European countries to treat LTTE as a terrorist groupe and banned in Europe!!.

If Mr.Blair really wants to implement this 2002 agreemtn, he should now demand the european union to reconsider the earliest decision against LTTE.Because of this stupid attitude of Mr.Blair this racist sinhalese government led by Mahinda ( a little Duttegemunu for backward and uneducated sinhalese people ) now wants to destroy the whole tamil population in sri Lanka.

The Indian government too close their eyes in front of this in humain war against tamils.

Tamils will certainly stir up not only in sri Lanka but also in south India.

Guys, is this really happening?

First they found Crude Oil,

Then they created Monarchy of Royal Families, (Sriabic Emirates)

Now they are on to women, soon they will ask them to wear Niqabs and live in Harem.

I fully agree with those who commented nudity as an art.but how do you feel when you see a roadside billboard painted with some semi nude pictures. as a cultured nation can we accept these type of advertisements? can we walk along the road with our kids passing these type of advertisements?
not only that but those lasses wearing tight jeans & exposing thier under pants also should be banned.

This is pathatic!!

no rules needed to control the beauty of the nudity.

Next time use 'Papper Spray' to chase the semi-naked JVP farmers who protest in the crowded streets.
