This is why mahinda wants this war

That's why the dead-line has been extended by three more years (to earn more money).

COLOMBO (AFP) - Sri Lanka's latest military campaign against the Tiger rebels could go on for another three years, senior defence officials said this week, as experts warned the conflict was taking its toll on the economy.

'Within the next two to three years we should be able to eliminate them (Tamil Tigers),'

Gen. Tissa Weeratunga, popularly known as 'Bull' Weeratunga, was appointed the overall commander of the Sri Lankan Forces in the Northern Province, by the then Sri Lankan President J.R. Jeyawardene on 14 July 1979 with a mission to 'eliminate' the 'menace of terrorism' within 6 months, before December 31, 1979.

I think 2007 we will see the downfall of Mahinda, he has too many contradictions in his manifesto. He has said yest to everyone at the beginning, now he is payingthe price. Internal struggle is not good for GoSL- this confusion will spill to the battle fields

There is an idiom. ' Tears of poor people is equivalent to a sharp sword'. There should be a response for the agony of tamil civilians. That is the nature.

There is nothing wrong a women wearing a Bikiny as long as she is not seen as a Sex or commercial object but as the MOST BEAUTIFUL CREATION OF MOTHER NATURE !

Sri Lanka banned on Wednesday the use of naked or semi-naked models in advertising, saying it was seeking to protect those offended by public nudity.

Don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. First of all they have define what's naked or semi-naked. I agree no one should display totally naked ads. And who are these people 'offended by public nudity'. Hope they are not linked to any political groups.

I think these ministers don't have anything else to do, since 70% of the budget is been handled by MR & co.

I wonder if Anura B. has anything to with this since he complains about staring at semi naked ladies of Sigiriya.

What's wrong with women's body, as long as it's not exploited.
