To all those who strongly oppose the ban on semi-nude adverts, I have a question.

How would you like to see your mother or sister or wife or daughter appearing naked or semi-naked in public?

If you honestly and sincerely say that it is perfectly alright, at least you are NOT hypocritic. It is most likely that almost all, if not all, will not want to see their own womenfolk appear naked in public.

Shouldn't we be honest in what we say or do? Aren't we all appalled by the hypocrisy our politicians shamelessly display? What right have we to criticise our politicians if we ourselves are hypocritical?

I do not think anyone like to see ones own mother, sister, wife or daughter appearing in naked or semi naked.

Similarly, nobody like to see ones own mother, sister, daughter or wife KILLED too. Well, appearing naked is better than getting KILLED.

But just because they do not want their own mother, sister, wife or daughter getting KILLED, it has not prevented many in this forum to blindly advocate the WAR EFFORTS of Motta Raala and company.

So before on talk about seni nude advertisements, if you do not want your mother, sister, daughter and wife getting KILLED, DISPLACED or SUFFERED please do not contribute to the war efforts of Stupid Motta Raala.

If you still support war efforts of this Mottaya all we can deduce is you do not mind your own mother, sister, daughter or wife getting killed.

It takes two to tango. The several thousand violations of the CFA by one party and a few hundred by the other is a clear indication of who is responsible for the present situation.

Is it not incumbent on the one whose mother, sister, daughter or wife is getting killed to ensure that he dutifully respects all arrangements aimed at saving the lives of not only his dear females but also all lives, if he really cares for them?

Fact is, those who shed crocodile tears for their dear females getting killed are as hypocritic as those who don't want to see their loved females naked or semi-naked in public.

Abdulsalaam,

Can you please tell us what is worse, getting KILLED or getting NAKED?

I am sure many people would prefer to be NAKED than KILLED.

You might have a different opinion.

It is not a question of one being worse than the other. Nakedness may appear to be the lesser of the evil. But consider how nakedness can corrupt the mind of not just one person but numerous others which can lead to rape and murder. Also, consider that trauma of the rape victim who either commits suicide or chooses to live with the ordeal for the rest of her life. What about the suffering of the hapless victim's family?

In a war situation, without doubt, lots of innocents get killed. When an opportunity presents for ending the war, it is the duty of BOTH parties to make full use of that opportunity if they really value life. Unfortunately, it never happens. Either one or both parties callously reject opportunities for ending the war. In the case of SL, both parties are culpable with the LTTE being more culpable than the GOSL.

The ministry was not immediately available to comment on the announcement, which came soonb after Sri Lanka banned milk powder advertising in a bid to discourage the use of powdered milk and to boost fresh milk consumption

That is what happens when one accepts handouts instead of 'owning' and using facilities. It is the same as sacking and arresting ministers who dare to disagree.

What about all those who use vulgar language in this forum - leaving one to undress in the mind - the person concerned.

One such exterme example against me is on - at the end of the name list :

This is what happens when we do not correct ourselves internally in this forum and when we do not give due status to genuine workers at the higher level. So these animals surface and kill our investments in the art such as Sigiriya also.
