Yes! In the western province the Tamils are in majority.The Tamils should be given a Federal State in the Weatern Province to govern themselves.

In 1956, tamils were holding 50% of the govt bureaucratic positions. that is why GGP proposed 50: 50 formula.
If GOSL allowed 12% of tamils to serve 85% of Sinhalas in Tamil, any of these problems would not been there.
12% of tamils did not want to learn sinhala in order to serve 85% of sinhala. It was the right of the LUCKY MINORITY in Sri Lanka to serve everybody in the minority language. GOSL should NOT have asked tamils to learn sinhala. That was wrong.

thanks again for showing as a slice of history of what led us to today. Back then we too were only asking for as little as these Indian tamils are asking now.
