Buddhism is not for the idiot but for the intellect who uses brains in the head not in the A$$.

Srilankan1,
Petijo,
1. proud - No:1 killer
She means pride = the over inflated ego. If you look closer into 'life, you see that a thing exist because infinity of other things exist. Example: If there are no worms, bacterias in soil, there can be no plant life.
Asking for a separate land results from this idiotic ego, which makes VP think that Eelam can exist without AIR and WATER coming from the rest of the island!
Diversity is an asset, not a liability. One is all, all is one.

JRJ,
I been having this question for some time.
When We Say Nirvana, Which is purely a mental state.
According to Buddism when a soul attains Nirvana ( a Change in mental state ) can lead that soul to disconnect itself from material bindings ( Desires) and free itself from rebirths and acheive oneness with the 'Truth'.
My Question is isn't it similar to introvation and practise of using pleasure areas on your mind ?
In simple terms, How can ones thought process will change
the three entities of the buddist philosophy
1. Souls
2. Maya
3. Truth
Isn't it like a cat closing its eyes and say its dark ?
If this question is too much Don't worry.

Hi JRJ:
How is it going?
Buddhism is not for the idiot but for the intellect who uses brains in the head not in the A$$.
Unfortunately, in Sri Lanka, Buddhism is synonimous with Shingala... The monks feel that it is their duty to keep Sri Lanka Buddhists.... during this process monorities suffer.. even Shingala Cristians are viewed sucispiously by monks... though Buddhism teaches tolarence, the monks in Sri Lanka are not like that... Sri Lanka should have been made a secular state long time ago... but, the monks and Shingala people in general would never let that happen... this is another cause of Tamil problem.
Hope you enlighten us by shedding more thought on this..! |

In UK, The Queen is the head of the Anglican Church. In the USA, Doller bill says 'the only god we UNited Stand or Believe in'. IN Norway, constituitionally, 50% of the parliament should christian.
Those countries secular with respect to the SECT of Christianity.
Tell me any country which secular.

I think everyone has to disassociate Buddhism with JHU. That will help respect a non-violent and a beautiful religion.
Seconda, power sharing is a necessary. Otherwise this agony and pain is going to continue. I think the platform for powersharing wasa there since 1985 but it is the politics that is playing in the south and the North. I don't believe for 30 years both sides could not slide down and find a good path where this bloodbath could have been stopped. How many generations have suffered and how many more to go?
It is always the Sri Lankans who are living abroad who is so get-go attitude towards this war because they get affected in the most minimum. I think a viable power sharing package is a necessary. Military strength and capturing LTTE bases does not positively affect the country when wanting to take the country towards a long term stability, towards a prosperous nation and a place with hope. It is time, and US is most definitely correct. |

I don't think India is secular as much as they use the name or that word. I lived in the country. There is alot of annymosity if you are not a hindu. Most of the other religions are looked down upon, and considers yawana (Evil) if you are christian and Muslim. Buddhists and jains have a bit more hope since they consider those Umbrella religions coming out of Hinduism. India playes Caste card really great and I dont think there is any secular country in the world who uses caste card, segregation, creed, and white wash of temples than India in the name of secularism. Even their own very hindus they put them down if they are dalits. I guess welcome to the secular India! |
