I wouldn't consider myself an expert of Buddhism...but I believe that the three (buddam saranam gachchami..) mentioned by you are not the two universal truths the Buddha has preached...

Asithi...i have always commended the jvp for what it did during those days...
u can check my archives...actually this is the only good deed the jvp has ever done...
it has quite a history and started killing forces personal even before the ltte did...they were a worst piece of scum bag if not for what thy did during the CFA...
also now they have proved that they are nothing but a group with political opptunism...
your jvo will see what they have when the parliament will be dissolved as the president contemplates...
the jvo has virtually no thought of rht ecountry and has already ruined the universities...stands in the way of a political soloution for the country and wished for it to bleed so that they can get power...preying on dead bodies tamil and sinhalse alike...after all we remember how you hacked to death soildges way before the ltte did...
after all what can you expect from a bandit out fit...your jvp is indebted to mahinda...very soon there will be elections and you can kiss it good buy...!
your vote base is well known to us as there were reguler survays conducted...your jvo's hora gahili are are also well known while they were in office and they too will come to the fore when the time is right...!
perish with the tigers both evils taken out slowly but steadily...!
p.s blowing bombs in parliamnet which the ltte never has done...attacked the sri dalada maligawa before the ltte did and killing mininsters in side parliament...the dogs lack shame to even come to parliament inside which they have killed

Kosovo is on the verge of becoming a state even without an Army, Navy, and Air Force... Tamil Eelam has all those; thus Tamil Eelam case with Sri Lanka is more convincing for IC, UN etc to justify.
MR and his puppet cabinet dragging its feet for providing a proposal for Tamils... thus very soon UN will appoint a special envoy to draft a solution for SL (just like the case for Kosovo had been)...thus paving way for devolution of power to Eelam.

I did go into that website - buddhanet.net/e-learning/intro_bud.htm- and glanced through the writing by Mike Butler. It does not have the intuitive message that an Eastern Buddhist would communicate. I am surprised that you would prefer the explanation of a westerner in preference to a fellow Sri Lankan Hindu. But then that explains why you feel more for these Westerners than the local Tamils who are hurt practically everyday.

I then conclude that you do not feel connected to the International community as if the whole world was your country. To me essentially that is what Lord Buddha was saying through his own discoveries. Towards this he renounced politics and its glamour. But the monks in Sri Lanka are actively embracing politics and its benefits. Sinhalese have not been able to take the priests back to their homes - the one that Lord Buddha built. It's alright for Hindus to be in politics because Krishna and Rama were Rulers by birth and continued to govern.

and every time Iqbaal Athaas writes his Sunday column, he keeps on focussing on the speculated strength of the sea tigers...because that is the only force left in the LTTE other than a few artillery guns in Wanni and Thoppigala...
Susie is now under immense pressure to show some results...and is trying hard but failing over and over...
And this is due to increased vigil and fire power of SLA/SLN/SLAF and also to the fact that India has Increased joint naval patrolling in the palk strait.... |

I think, the importance of Strong NAvy is very important, that is in addition to the coordinated effort of all three Forces.
If SLN has good weapons they will love to confront these HEadless chicken. Only thing is they need intelligence too. |

Wrong, I don't feel that way...In fact I separate Tamils from LTTE, if that is what you mean...
And Tamils will be free once the LTTE is routed...I am sure of that...
and, as I told you, am not an expert on Buddhism...but even with that, I am not prepared to accept your interpretation of Buddhism's universal truth...I prefer surfing the net and finding out to that...
since you say that I had gone to a westerner's site..

JVP, right or wrong, has the gut to contest elections. We have to recognize their return to democracy.
Those who cry for LTTE criminals must tell why LTTE is hiding without contesting elections. While these idiots live in democratic countries, they cry for a terrorist org. which always not prepared for any contest.
Murdering unarmed Tamils by LTTE never get any recognition from any country except GUN dealers like Norway!
Those who cry in support of LTTE are mostly collecting FUNDS for liberation. I mean they want to liberate themselves from MORTGAGES! |
