Ahmadineja,

aha...Then this human rights watchers should also keep silent as what is happening should happen cos the parties involved are not innocent and have played a part according to their own interests.....

If I were that Human Rights Watcher - yes - there are no innocents in this incident. But if one were hurt more than one's share of interest - then it is in breach of Common Values and needs to be punished.

it is nobody's fault then...Things happen...

It becomes fault or virtue when we are bound by groups / families/communities / nations - especially if we benefit from their common work. For example - if Sri Lanka did not benefit from the work of IC - then yes - it has the right to not take a stand. It is on its own - like a saadhu/Ascetic.

I wonder why then the Human rights groups keeps screaming 'foul'.......

Because they have chosen to bind themselves by International laws - and get paid for that.

according to your management theory, nobody should say anything...let it happen...

WRONG. You must speak - but do so in the path of Dharma. This is why Buddha said - Peace for the Individual; Peace for the Institution and Peace for Society. At the tertiary level - only Truth prevails. These institutions are at the middle level.

This can be a reality, but unlike Kosovo or Bosnia, sri lanka is not a failed state, the state functions much better than neighboring india. We have standard of living and education that exceeds most upper end Developing nations. Our Social and Cultural indexes come pretty close to developed nations.

we are a country that belongs to all.

anyways it is good for the JVP to raise these issues.

It is in India's best interest to keep sri lanka intact.

if not eventually India too will have to break up in to tiny kingdoms.

China strongly advocated united china and look where it is now, but If china even had a hiccup during after the Tiananmen Square uprising allowing division we would not see the China today.

Democracy has its ups and down, but its main enemy is Democracy itself. We must protect our country to the last breath, because when you get up one day, you will have lost a country and lost a culture and be No ONE.

Tamils in the North (not east), at least have Tamil Nadu. But the Tamils in East, Central, and Sinhalese all around Sri Lanka do not have anywhere else to go. We must all fight for this 'our country' if we really hope to survive this LTTE curse.

Gaja, as much as I liked reading through your technical jargon, I am equally amazed at your plain saying about you guys' ability to judge the degree of breech of an incident based on the victims' 'share of Interest' (I am using your own words)....

This is my point too....

When some terrorist supporter is taken into custody and detained in colombo, all the HRW groups judge it based on your degree of Interest....

and if you guys could take the liberty to judge that based on your share of interests, the gosl and the terrorism fighting forces should have the same degree of liberty to judge the same event based on their share of interests....

and when these two opposing two groups do their own reasoning,

u can't say that the Human rights of that detained individual is breached.....

because, considering your own theory, the truth is shared by a group....

and when the groups are differently opinionated, truth will become 'group based' too...

Ahmadineja,

well, you say that the parties are not innocent and rights and wrongs is not an issue......

Yes, if you are acting in the consciousness of Universal Truth - beyond borders.

and then when asked about human rights...u say that it is a issue...no mention about being not innocent...

how convenient!

Read my other response - especially about Lord Buddha's discovery. These institutions are in the middle - between the individual and society. At these two levels we are not answerable to anyone but ourselves. But at the middle level we are answerable to all those bound by common laws towards which we get paid benefits.

and you say that truth is something that exists...

It is like saying that the soul exists. We all know this intuitively but not logically and consciously.

and then you say that rights groups share a truth as a group...and what if some other group don't share this same truth...?????

We see the same Truth through different eyes - as per our environments and investments. These HR groups are the highest form - like the Priest at a temple. Their rules and regulations / rights and wrongs - help us remove selfish possession - and share common values in that particular group. You do not need them - but they help. Families are the most common forms of these connecting institutions. But families often tend to 'possess' wealth locally and therefore limit us to local places and times. HR groups are the widest families / institutions because they transcend local laws and see the world without borders - through what has been defined as basic human values.

that truth is not a reality????? not common???? just some truth these HR people share for their convenienve?????

Truth exists but only some recognize it. Others are blinded by material benefits - especially those that do not belong to them. HR people help share benefits at the lowest common level. When that is not done - they raise their voice.

what is all this dual explanations going both ways????

They are not dual. Politics and HR are dual - different paths to the same Truth / God. Truth is the destination. HR is the path - the shortest and the lowest / least visible path.
