Siva,
other than your handle of course
Good one machan lol!
Yeah. I'm studying Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Engineering, submajoring in Telecommunications. The job market in Lanka is pretty good for it. But in Australia it's hit a bit of a plateau, though here in Sydney the job market is all right for any field.
Anyway man, I gotta go now. Lecture starting in a few minutes. Just logged on to say hi. I have a massive assignment due next Monday so you won't be catching me on LNP anytime soon. I'll try & log on when I'm free.
Bye! |

ship is 70-75 meters long and from the nature of the explosion they are suspecting it be carrying arms and explosives
Sound of the explosion, when the ship 'blew up' would have conveyed that impression to the naval personnel participating in that 'engagement'. Commander Dasanayake's comments would have been based on the 'report', made by the Captain of the SLN ship which intercepted the 'explosives laden' craft.
discovered some boxes when they were adrift in the sea after the attack and later discovered that they contained artilleries
Cmmdr Dasanayake's actual statement is not available to us .. he has been 'quoted', and the version being 'nit-picked' by the dejected LTTE supporters here, may not be exactly what he said.
But it is not too difficult to make out what the Naval spokes-man was trying to say .. 'among the debris from the ship (which went down), there were parts from wooden crates which had surfaced .. and these had markings, showing these were parts of crates, which contained artillery shells .. ' |

SenaM,
Good try!
Your attempt to put a spin on the punnakku story by Com Dassanayake, I am afraid, was a total failure.
The simple fact is that artillery shells were 'seen' floating by the drunken SLN sailors - they were hallucinating about the ship and about the floating artillery shells.
Kassippu does make you see 'things'.it is a well known fact. |
