.

How funny this is...

'Firing artillery shells on the foreign diplomats is acceptable, but not informing the LTTE Terrorist in advance is a criminal.'

I have a good example.

If the President of US or a high ranking personal travel to Afghanistan or Iraq... do they/US government inform the Tali Ban/BinLarden in advance. No they don't.

This is similar here, GOSL don't want to inform the Terrorists groups.

LTTE terrorist intentionally made this move to put GOSL in difficult.. but now it's back fired on LTTE.

The SL Naval patrol units foiled an LTTE terrorist attempt to smuggle a cache of arms and explosives in the seas 185 Nm, off 'Dondra Point'-Matara, today(28) morning.

Fishermen in the area said that they heard two large explosions from the above mentioned area, as they were making towards the land.

It is believed that an LTTE arms trawler laden with a large quantity of high explosives had opened fire at the Naval units, after failing to confirm their identity when apprehended by the Navy.

Following the attack the Naval sea units have engaged gun fire in retaliation. According to information sources the LTTE arms trawler is presently sinking in the high seas.

More information will follow.
