Dear President,

I also hope you will punish LTTE for this cowardly attack on our visitors.

Thank you,
Mahasohona.

Tamils are treated as second class citizens. there is no force to fight against the GOSL. I dont like the country to be divided. The GOSL and most of the sinhalese should understand and threat them well as equal.
I don't like any one getting killed. but if gov wants war no one can help.there is no proposals still by the Gov to the tamils. even now there are so many tamils be treated badly, just bcz you r having a beer or giving a seat in the bus to a old tamil women , you cant say you r treating them well and no problems with them. if you have lived with them you will know. from my fathers day till now the tamils are been look like second class citizens by most. whenu support someone you should be fair as a human.

as long as the LTTE does its ethnic cleansing you will feel that. Tamils have become second class citizens because of LTTE.

not only in Sri lanka even british police in East london, north london and south will check you more ifyou are a tami.

Tell have have you heard a Muslim saying that despite major cultural differences ?

Jacob, I hear you, but change starts from one person. It is not as if the GOSL haven't extended the hand pf peace so many time. How many offers have been given to sit and talk this issue through? Both sides are not honest in their intentions so there will be no end other than make the changes from within and make a difference on a personal level.

In the coming few days, there will be various calibers of parades of utter crap from 'steep' propagandists to cover this latest mishap from ltte.

It will be something very funny to watch, I mean bareness of bankrupt ltte.

Jacob,

Minorities are discriminated all over the world. As we know even in United States of America, African Americans are still discriminated. This is a cruel world and that is just a fact of being a minority. Yes, agree, Tamil should be treated better, but it will take time and the war is not the asnser. The war is not the answer because the last 30 years of war has shown it.

Thank you,
Mahasohona.

THanks LNKLA, find below another interesting article.

Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews said the men, who are all Tamils, would be dealt with under United Nations rules.

Mr Andrews has insisted that they would not be repatriated if there was a danger they would face persecution.

Sri Lanka's ambassador to Indonesia, Major-General Janaka Perera, has said the 83 boat people would have nothing to fear if they were sent home, and added that he would guarantee their safety.
