| Robins, if there's anything to celebrate its the fortunes of war and the sheer desperation shown by the LTTE. My question is the LTTE Spokesperson mentions that the it is normal protocol for the GOLS to mention that diplomats are on board. Even if they did not why did the LTTE chose to attack that particular convoy after all the silence in the past. I am sure choppers buzz around Batti all the time and none of them would have attracted any attention by the LTTE, so why these two particularly? Leave only one explanation that the LTTE KNEW who was on board. |

TOKYO ? Ambassadors from the United States and Italy sustained minor injuries Tuesday when a helicopter they were aboard was attacked in eastern Sri Lanka, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.
Japanese Ambassador Kiyoshi Araki was in a separate helicopter and was not injured, it said. The envoys were on their way to inspect the humanitarian situation in eastern Sri Lanka. |
