However, the Italian Ambassador Pio Mariano who received a minor head injury in this morning's LTTE mortar attack at Batticaloa Weber Stadium has been airlifted to Colombo for medical treatment, the Sri Lanka military spokesman said. |

Ah Mr. Mig29c still aorund I see, short of landing troops in SL (as discussed above) what more can the US do than they are already doing to help the GoSL? They provide training, intelligence, arms (through Pakistan and Israel), clamp down on LTTE arms trading. So really not sure what consequences can come of this. Well I'm off but perhaps you could elaborate and I will catch it later. |

i still remember seeing MR on a video boasting at the SLFP party meeting that the SL state armed forces have liberated the Tamils in the east from the clutches of ltte.
