| The Tamil people lost the East ever since the Tamil Muslims and Tamil-speaking Muslims in the east decided to support the government. The North on the other hand has always been over 99% a Tamil area, the people there are 100% behind the Tigers against the SLA, so it will be much harder for the fanatical members of the Sinhala people to wipe out the Tamils there. When people are cornered and their surivival is in jeopardy, they will usually fight to the death. If it was not for the Tigers, large areas of the Vanni would now have been made Sinhala by force, and the Tamils there would have been ethnically cleansed like what happened in Manal Aru in the 80s. Our ancestors have been living in Lanka for thousands of years, yet the Sinhala people still want to destroy us. |

Sri Lanka?s ongoing military campaign leaves Tamils with no option but to seek self-determination and self-rule, the country?s largest Tamil party said Friday. In a statement to mark the fifth anniversary of the Ceasefire Agreement between the LTTE and the Sri Lankan government, the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) called on the international community to recognise the Tamil struggle pointing out that in the past five years, ?the Sri Lankan government has utterly failed to alleviate the sufferings of the Tamil people. Neither has it contributed meaningfully to a lasting solution to the national conflict.
Mahinda should expelled all TNA MPs from prliament.Person who gave oath as a MP cant talk about separate state in SL.
Mahinda should arrest all TNA MPs. Then Govt can get a exellent majority in parliament also.
